Advantages: Nothing that any internet bank would not offer

Disadvantages: Inefficient service which at times borders on dishonesty

I moved to Smile Internet Bank in November 2005. There was a promotional offer at the time for a case of wine but this was never received. Direct debits and standing orders were supposed to be set up by Smile but I had to do half of them for myself, despite Smile assuring me that they had been done. This included my mortgage payment! I recently logged a dispute over goods not received - Smile have taken just over one month to tell me that they cannot do anything to help.
My advice to anyone thinking of opening an account with Smile would be to look elsewhere. There are a number of other internet banks which have a good reputation for customer care - in my experience Smile is not one of them.

Summary: If you want to be happy - DON'T SMILE!
