Advantages: Web banking, Good rates

Disadvantages: That Banner, Colour scheme

Now I dont know how many of you have speakers at work but if you want to get caught out by your boss, this is the site to visit.

Let me set the scene for you....
There I am, browsing for some MP3's to listen to when I see a small animated banner at the bottom of the screen.
Thinking "thats quite nice" I accidentally hovered over it....
"DING DING!" goes the banner.
ARGH! I think.. A banner with Sound.
Normally, the only banners with sounds that I have seen are ones that involve ladies with very little clothing on. (not that I go looking for it, it was a pop up!, honest)
So I was very suprised to hear anything.
The problem was, everytime I hovered anywhere near it it would go again!
DING DING.
Everyone in the office was now looking around and I was getting scared.

In fact, it is the most annoying banner ever envisaged but it has done its job.
It made me visit the site to see what it wa all about.

Oh my God!
Who designed the colour scheme here?
I mean, Dooyoo are struggling with a Green gordy colour scheme but Pink and Black???
They are not winning any style prizes with me.

Its written in similar technology to the Dooyoo site, using Servlets. Very modern I must say.
The Navigation is very nice even if It does use a rater bland looking font.
They really love their "onhover" technology here.
The text always highlights when dragging the mouse around the screen. Just incase you dont know where you are!

What I do like about the site is that it is very well thought out with plenty of information in plain English.
Lots of options and products for you to explore.
Credit cards, loans and ISA's if you have the money for them.

Thier student package is very good. £2000 interest free overdraft. Excellent for the drinking and partying months ahead if you are aged 18-25!
A £500 free overdraft for us normal people to
o! That is very useful.
The best bit is it can all be handled over the web.

The bottom line....

Smile.co.uk makes me grimace. That pop up haunts me in my sleep....
DING DING!
