I waited and waited and they didn't turn up. I phoned them up and this time they apoligied and said that they must have been lost. LOST! How can they lose such an important document, meant for security purposes. So, I invest my money with them and they're going to misplace it, lose it, drop it on the floor when tranferring it to the bank? The Tesco Internet Banking website is absolutely HORRIFIC!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who designed it? Some manger's 11 year old kid? Has that person never looked at any other bank's site?
I understant that security is important but is it necessary to have a dozen different pins, passwords and machines? A lot of them cannot be changed so that one can actually remember these things. People will end up wrting them down- so much for security.
To top it all, if one wants to complain it has to be by letter because they do not accept e-mails! Is this really internet banking or some kid's school project?

I have been trying to open an account with Tesco for over a month and each time they send me a registration number to open the account it fails I am now waiting for my 5th one, each time takes another week, not impressed so far, but do recommend Sainsburys Bank!

the worst bank I have ever dealt with. Not only did it take them a whole month set up the facility to pay money in, I now find I cannot access my money when i want to take it out!
DO NOT bank with them or like me you could be left without access to your money!

The web-site is a complete disaster. I have an account which I am unable to access. Using Firefox, any e-mail submitted as part of login is rejected as "invalid format", even though perfectly valid. I switched to IE, and it decided it wanted to re-register me. There appears to be no help desk. I contacted the only phone number I could find, and they tell me to write! They have my money and I can't get at it. There's not really much point in internet banking without a solid website, and this isn't one.

A few years ago, my aunty and I set up an account together with Tescos. They appeared to offer a comparably good rate of interest for the time. We were required to send off out details together with two bank statements from another bank accounts. We did this in good faith as they told us it was a security requirement.
