I have been trying to telephone Tesco Bank for two days - waited 43 minutes the first time, 15 min the second time and now I am at 20 minutes and still waiting (even pushing the button saying I was a new customer (even though I am not) didn't 'spring' them into action !) Thinking about opening a fixed rate saver acct and want them to transfer the funds from my internet saver into this but I suspect this will be too difficult for them and I will probably end up closing my account with Tesco altogether. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ........have read previous reviews on this website and totally agree with them. TESCO ARE A DISASTER AS A BANK.

A disaster. Cannot access my account - keeps telling me my system invalid which is rubbish. Really annoyed with Tesco and their impossible online banking system. Webpage a mess!! Have to give one star, no choice. If I had a choice I wouldn't give any!

The Tesco Internet Banking website is absolutely HORRIFIC!!!!!!!!!!!!Who designed it? Some manger's 11 year old kid? Has that person never looked at any other bank's site?I understant that security is important but is it necessary to have a dozen different pins, passwords and machines? A lot of them cannot be changed so that one can actually remember these things. People will end up wrting them down- so much for security.To top it all, if one wants to complain it has to be by letter because they do not accept e-mails! Is this really internet banking or some kid's school project?

I have been trying to open an account with Tesco for over a month and each time they send me a registration number to open the account it fails I am now waiting for my 5th one, each time takes another week, not impressed so far, but do recommend Sainsburys Bank!

the worst bank I have ever dealt with. Not only did it take them a whole month set up the facility to pay money in, I now find I cannot access my money when i want to take it out!DO NOT bank with them or like me you could be left without access to your money!

The web-site is a complete disaster. I have an account which I am unable to access. Using Firefox, any e-mail submitted as part of login is rejected as "invalid format", even though perfectly valid. I switched to IE, and it decided it wanted to re-register me. There appears to be no help desk. I contacted the only phone number I could find, and they tell me to write! They have my money and I can't get at it. There's not really much point in internet banking without a solid website, and this isn't one.

A very simple to use savings account. The minimum balance is only a £1 and the interest rate is approximately 5%. You open the account by picking up an application form at any branch of Tesco and posting it off. If you are looking for a good safe place to save with a decent interest rate I do not think you cannot go wrong with a Tesco Savings Account. The Interest rate at this moment is 5.25%.
