Im a member with the woolwich ,unfortunately, since 1993 and received good service at branch level until Barclays took over.Now its a fiasco.I have had funds taken from accounts without my knowledge by the woolwich themselves only to reappear magically when I contacted.I have had them charging me for mistakes they made again to magically reappear when challenged.It used to be that you contacted them at your local branch yet now when you use the same number you are put through a call center only to be told, after the usual 25 mins explaining whats wrong,that you need to dial a national rate number .Again the 25 or so mins explaining .Usually you are told that it is the wrong department you are speaking to and away you go again with another national rate number and of course the 25 mins again etc etc.So bye bye Woolwich(or Barclays)as I have had enough and I now seek the personal touch I expect when someone has my money.After all, after being with the Woolwich I am better putting my money ,in a mattress at home
