Argos Deluxe Kettle Charcoal BBQ
Advantages: compact, easy to clean
Being the summertime, it has to be the time to get out the BBQ. I had bought this deluxe kettle charcoal BBQ at Argos last year but never really got much use out of it. However, as soon as the sun has been out this year I have been whipping out the BBQ and getting my use out of this model. I did well with this BBQ and really didn't spend too much on it as I am not amazing at BBQ's and don't need anything too fancy just something that will cook my food really well and make it taste great.
This BBQ is made of steel and plastic and is a dark colour and it is circular in shape and on wheels so it is easy to move it around. It comes with a removable lid which is easy to take off and in terms of its shape it is 97cm (H) x 64cm (W) x 69cm (D). It isn't huge which is why I like it as it stores easily in my shed without it being too big and isn't one that has to be kept outside all of the time. It has a 53.5cm diameter for cooking and it also has a wire grill to cook on, it really is compact.
ARGOS DELUXE KETTLE BBQ
Now, to start with this BBQ actually came flat pack so it did have to be built, I had my tools ready and the instructions were very easy to follow. Don't let this put you off though as it didn't take too long to built and once it is built that's it up forever. To start with this BBQ is meant to be for four people and I do agree it isn't the biggest but it would do your average family of four people as anymore then you may need to get a bigger BBQ as it isn't going to cook a lot at the one time.
To start with this is easy to start using once you have the heat going you just need to lay the meat onto the wire grill and get cooking, this BBQ takes a little while to heat but once it gets going you can begin. The tray underneath for storage really is great you can put sauces under here if you are cooking special flavours and you have your handles on each side which you can hang tongs or other utensils from while cooking. It is well thought out really and has room to fit everything onto it.
There is an ash tray collector which does help a lot when it comes to cleaning, no BBQ is great to clean but I found with this one it wasn't too bad and after a year it still doesn't look too dirty at all. It is 9kg in weight but with it being on wheels, it is easy to move this around and it is very sturdy once it is up. You really do have it all and it also has the lid with a grip handle if you decide to use this while BBQing and it has some whole to let smoke filter through while things are cooking.
I am very pleased with this BBQ for the price I paid, I have used it a lot over the summer and it cooks food very well and it is easy to use. Once built it is fine and you can cook a number of things on it as the grill is quite wide and in terms of storing it away, this is easy to do with the size and you can roll it away into a shed. It is a well thought out and compact model for a family to have in their house. If you don't use a BBQ regularly this is a great option as it is handy for those who want one every so often without spending too much.
This can be purchased or reserved online on the Argos website and it is currently £39.99 it was £49.99 but is on offer for a good price.
