Summer time is here! The family are over, dad's getting drunk, mum's watching the olympics and outside we have the food cooking nicely inside our new argos bbq - all is well.

With a whole range of bbqs out there - how do you make up your mind which one to get? Simple - get the one that looks spaceage/like a Tripod when closed. That and the price were the reasons I bought this peice of junk.

It started off great - easy to start/light and doesn't use much charcoal - it's also small enough to fit on the patio and large enough for half a dozen burgers and 4 chicken wings to cook at once. As mentioned it is also on the cheaper side of the bbq scale.

We even closed the lid the second time we used it whilst the burgers were cooking - to give them that authentic charcoal taste - and that was where the fun ended. When we went to take the lid off again, the handle came off. So we were left with a burning hot metal lid that needed removing. Queue the fun...

Looking back I don't think I have ever bought an argos item that hasn't broken within a year of purchase and this was no different. Should've gone with a better brand/costlier bbq.
