Argos Deluxe Kettle Charcoal BBQ
Advantages: Easy and safe to use, good storage space within BBQ, good value for money, light yert sturdy
Disadvantages: None, I just wish I could use it more!
I know that we have not had a great deal of sunshine this year but when we have, I love nothing more than eating outside. We are fortunate to have a lovely space out in the back garden and sat in the corner of our decking is our BBQ. Until quite recently we had a gas BBQ but after a few years we have seen it go quite rusty and even though under cover, it has seen better days, couple this with the gas running out we decided to invest in a new one. I was all for the same kind of model but seeing as it is my other half that cooks the BBQ's I let him choose and we went for something totally different and that was the Argos Deluxe Kettle BBQ. Here are my thoughts on the product.
As I am sure you have guessed from the product, the BBQ comes from Argos and you will be looking at paying £49.99 for the product. I was however quite lucky to get it on a reduced price of £39.99 so it is definitely worth keeping your eye on those booklets that they issue as that's how we spotted ours. Compared to the prices that you pay in B and Q for a BBQ I think that this was quite impressive!
The BBQ came and it was flat pack, I don't normally get involved with these things, my other half knows what I am like but I was excited to open it and to be honest, it was really easy to assemble, and that is coming from me. There were some very clear instructions that needed to be followed and you needed a couple of basic tools but within minutes this was all assembled. The BBQ is made from a mixture of plastic and steel and as I am sure you can see from the picture, it is a simple design of black and blue in colour and it stands on three legs. The legs on the BBQ have wheels on so it is easy to transport the BBQ around.
Whilst the BBQ is lightweight, it is also sturdy and stands together really well. I didn't buy a cover for it as it is compact enough to store in our garage. The BBQ is really easy to use, even I have had a go, Supervised of course! There is a storage space that is handy for tools to go in and to put the charcoal in is a simple process, covering this is the metal grill and then all you really need to do it put your food on top of this and then cook away! The main concern with a charcoal BBQ was the issue of cleaning all the ash away afterwards; with our old gas BBQ it was so easy to just turn the gas off! However, it has been well thought out with this model and all the ash is collected in a tray and then I lay some newspaper for it to collect on and then just fold it up and throw it away.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this BBQ, it is a great price in my opinion and I like that it is easy to not just set up but to cook on and then store away. I was not convinced with the coal product when we had been so used to a gas one but I am definitely one now!
5 out of 5 from me on this one
Thank you for reading
