Advantages: Easy way to cook food on the BBQ - and its cheap too
Disadvantages: None
As soon as the warm weather arrives, I look nothing more than a BBQ, the problem is, I am not very good at doing it - when trying to turn the burgers over, the either fall onto the floor or into the base of the BBQ. I friend recommended that I buy a grill basket so when I spotted this in B&Q for around £6, I just had to give it a go.
Using is really simple, open the basket up, place your burgers inside, close the basket and then place on you BBQ. When you need to turn the burgers, rather than having to do individually, you just turn the whole basket - easy! When the food is cooked, open the basket and literally tip the basket up so they are ready to serve (normally this process would take me a good 5 minutes!)
The product is stainless steal and it measures around 52 x 30 cm (including the handle) so you can fit a decent amount of burgers in it, is also means that when I have done cooking, I can just pop this into the dishwasher to clean. The bars on the basket are quite close together, meaning I have also been able to cook sausages, homemade kebabs and mushrooms in it without them falling through the gaps.
There are loads of different versions and available from DIY or hardware stores etc, I brought mine from B&Q and prices tend to vary from between £5 to £10.
Overall, I would recommend this product, it makes cooking on a BBQ easy (even my other half uses it now), I don't end up wasting food and it is reasonably priced. I would give 5 out of 5 stars.
Thanks for reading.
