      a great item

      ==Weber One Touch Silver BBQ==

      Before we had even moved in to our new house we decided last summer that we needed to get a barbecue in preparation. We had a small communal garden at our last flat which meant tht we were able to use this item a couple of times before we left there but it wasn't practical as the space was limited and there was no real garden furniture. The BBQ had actually been bought with the impending move in sight however as our first sale and purchase fell through the BBQ stood unused for a long time.

      Finally we were able to crack the BBQ on a few weeks ago when the sunshine was hot and strong and with plans to set it up again this Easter weekend. So unfortunately I have been peering out the patio doors at the BBQ which has been housed in the greenhouse with no sight of being able to put it on!

      Even though we have had for nearly a year I don't see it as a total waste given the fact that we have only used it a handful of times because it is a good piece of equipment which is built to last and I didn't pay too much for it so I should think with the amount of disposable ones we used to buy this will soon pay for itself when the sun does manage to make an appearance.

      So this Weber One Touch Silver is a branded barbecue and because of this you should expect to pay a little bit more than you would for any other bog standard item like this. Last year I was able to buy it for a good price of £89 from a local garden centre although I had previously seen it for a little bit more in B&Q so did feel I had got myself a bit of a bargain. The retail price has since gone up and it has a RRP of £101. Weber is a top make of BBQs and can be found in a lot of different places so it is worth having a hunt around to find the best price.

      This isn't the top model of this sort of BBQ and there is a more fan-dangled one which is a slightly higher price and I believe is a slightly bigger size as well. I do feel that the size of this item is more than adequate for cooking the amount we intend to and even with people round the 47 cm of cooking area gives enough for a packet of sausages and some burgers too.

      The height is another good aspect of this barbecue as it stands a a comfortable 91 cm which is a good height for standing and cooking and I don't find myself having to bend over at all when standing over keeping check on the meat. The depth of the area where the coal goes in an ideal size in order to put a good deal of coal in and for it to keep cooking for a good few hours once the flames have died down.

      As well as the height and cooking area being all good proportions the look and design of the Weber barbecue does indeed tick all the right boxes. The black sheen of the lid and base make for a slick and sleek item which looks the business when wheeled out for use each time. The two wheels on the back make it easy to move about the garden and the leg at the front makes sure that it is stable when in use.

      The air vents which are in the lid enable the lid to be placed over once the ashes have cooled down and still let any heat out once the party is over, The lid does need to be kept of at all times during cooking. There is a handle on both the lid and the base of the barbecue and these won't get hot at all as they are a good distance away from the coals and of course the lid won't be on any time when the heat is pumping.

      I found the barbecue pretty easy to clean out as there is a ash catcher at the bottom and this is easy to use andmakes cleaning it out not as bad a task as it could be. The grill came up pretty clean too and this is made from a good quality thick metal. The whole product is made of wonderful weatherproof material and a lot of it is also rust proof. Along with all of this high quality workmanship there is a 10 year warranty with the barbecue which means that it is well worth paying that little bit extra for as long as you keep the receipt!

      All in all I have to say that this BBQ is a good one. It is a little more expensive than some of this same size but for that extra money you are getting a really good quality and good looking item which will certainly last a lot longer than most other cheaper barbecues. It is easy to use and easy to store and I personally can't find fault with it. The only thing I need now is some sunshine to use it in!

      I think a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and a very high recommendation is on the cards here! Great item!

      I do hope this has been of some help/interest to you

      Many thanks for taking the time to read.

        Can only give 5 stars but for us its a 6 star rating

        We have one of these at home and my partner sold Weber BBQs when he useed to work in a garden centre. With a 10 year limited warranty and use of grade A materials you should never need another charcoal BBQ. Simple to use, simple to keep clean and what makes this BBQ really good is you don't need to cover it and this will not void your warranty. The only way you will damage the paint work on this BBQ is if you drop the lid on patio slabs. The big difference with this BBQ when cooking is the lid stays on whilst the food cooks, this reduces oxygen which minimises flare up but keeps an oven cooking effect inside the BBQ which means the product only needs turning once or twice. When you have finished with this product you don't wash any of it, next time you fire up the charcoals you just use a wire cleaning brush on the cooking grate once its hot and the extreme heat from the coals kills any bacteria.
        We have members of the family that have bought Weber BBQs because we have shown them how good they are and we will always recommend a Weber to anyone over any other BBQ.
