Bars in Barcelona in general

Bars in Barcelona are generally excellent! Many are dark inside and not much to look at, but they have a relaxed atmosphere, a laid back approach to measures, and are a great price. Many places have table service as a standard, although there are places more along the lines of pubs in England where you go and buy your own drink, which is the better option if you are in a hurry. Usually they bring you some peanuts or pretzels with your drink. One of my favourite bars in Barcelona is called Ambar, and is just of the Rambla by the Teatre Liceu.
