Also Taxi's don't tend to come down here and it iis a bit of a maze to find your way out. A newer area for a more modern evening is 'Docas'. This is a new complex on the docks which is purely restaurants and bars/disco's. Prices aren't bad. It is about £3 for a vodka and coke (but that is like an English triple!) and about £2 for a beer. Lisbon has a good nightlife. There are many restaurants and bars. A lot of bars are like mini-nightclubs with DJ's and dancefloors. For a traditional evening try 'Barrio Alto' where little winding streets lead you to some interesting places. The pubs/bars tend to be quieter here.
