Advantages: an experience

Disadvantages: the approach

One of the most unique bars that I have ever been into had to be the Carribean Zone in the south of market (SOMA) area near downtown San Francisco. This bar is located on a small street called Natoma, off market. The bar lies in a desolate looking area, and you have to enter a corregated metal structure to get into the bar. It looks like you are in a not great area, but have faith! The bar istself can be very quiet on a weeknight, but is definately worth a visit.

The interior is decked out like a rainforest, complete with exotic plants and even a waterfall. However, the one thing that you will not fail to notice is the 'crashed' plane behind the bar. Sit inside, order a cocktail and watch the outside go by, courtesy of tv screens behind the windows. A great experience.
