Great nightlife! (Bars in Sydney)

I love bars and going out. Im currently looking for bar work in sydney and found most bars to be very friendly and I have had several interviews.

In my first week in sydney I went to a lot of bars, my favourite so far being Henry Afrikas in Manly. Its a trendy bar with a few floors, 2 of them with an outside terrace. If the weathers nice its great in the daytime to sit out and watch the people walking along the beachfront.

Another bar if you want a good party and some cheesy music is The Gaff. On a street full of gay bars this is supposedly the only straight one. Look what it spells backwards. We were taken here as part of a night out, and as part of a pub crawl with ozintro and both nights were very drunken and good fun. All the staff dress up nightly and everyones up for a party.

Another option thats a bit different is to go on a party cruise around the harbour. These usually cost around 40dollars, with cheap drinks, and takes 3 hours. You get night views of the bridge, the opera house and the harbour. This was probably my favourite night out, watch your sea legs though as it did get choppy sometimes.

There are so many bars in sydney I dont think Il ever be able to go to them all, but there are styles of bar for every occasion. Its easy to get caught up in the party lifestyle, but you could be throwing money down the drain if you dont find out which places have offers on when you go out.

Manly has loads of bars and clubs, and they range in price from 5 dollars for spirits to 15 dollar cocktails. Whatever your budget Im sure youl be able to have a good night. Just watch out you dont act intoxicated as they will throw you out straight away because of the huge fines that the bar and staff can get.
