Advantages: Great range or food and drinks at very reasonable prices
Disadvantages: Not much lunch choice for vegetarians
I often go to BBs in my local town of Chelmsford and unlike many of the other coffee shops as it is tucked away at the end of the Meadows shopping centre you can usually find a place to sit!
It's always clean and tidy and it has a great outside area too - although i'm not sure all of them do so i'll try to look at it in general. They sell a great range of muffins which are made fresh in the cafe - i have seen them doing this before which i thought was impressive. They also have a few other cookies and cakes - their carrot cake is a must!
Coffee wise they have a great range all at reasonable prices and some good meal deals too. As well as coffees they sell milkshakes and smoothies which are delicious.
If you're looking for a proper lunch then they have a range of pastries, sandwiches, baguettes and paninis. They do a great bbq chicken panini which is my boyfriends favourite and the baguettes as delicious especially the prawn mayonnaise which is really filling - definitely enough to fuel all the shopping you want to do afterwards!
You can eat in at BBs or take away which is really handy and they also have a loyalty card so that for every 9 coffees you buy the tenth is free.
As i go there quite regularly the staff have begun to recognise me and sometimes will give me a free coffee if i'm buying other bits anyway. They're always really friendly too.
One other thing especially at buy periods is if they don't have what you want on display it's best to ask as it may be they just haven't had a chance to fill up the fridges which are on display.
All prices are very reasonable, cheaper than other coffee shops like costa and starbucks anyway.
Summary: Great for re-fuelling at lunch or a quick snack any time of day
