Advantages: Great food, excellent service
Disadvantages: Toilets were downstairs, I found it hard walking up after all that food!
This is a branch of the famous Hard Rock Cafe. It is in central Paris and is very easy to get to on the metro.
We decided to go here for dinner for our last night in Paris, as we fancied some stodgy American style food after 2 days of Mussels and other assorted French food.
When we arrived we were greeted by a very happy French lady, who thought we were French because we spoke the most basic French ever, but she still understood. She sat us at a table with a good view of the resturant and not too near the door so it was nice and warm. (Paris was very cold the last few days)
Our waiter was American, and very attentive and friendly. He was over straight away to get our food and drinks order. We were on a strict budget so our drinks were tap water.
I ordered the veggie burger and chips (Im vegetarian), and my boyfriend had the trio combo of grilled beef, pork and chicken. His portion was absolutely massive! He managed to finish it and really enjoyed it. My burger was very tasty, and I had a large portion of chips so I was quite full as well.
We found a voucher for a free hot fudge sundae for every guest on the back of a bus tour leaflet. The waiter knew about the voucher and happily took it, bringing us back 2 hot fudge sundaes which were delicious. A massive one each and they were very tasty, and afterwards we were so stuffed we couldnt move!
So our meal cost 31Euro for 2 main meals and 2 puddings, as we got the puddings for free. The drinks looked extremely expensive, so unless you are really fussy about not drinking water you can get a meal quite cheaply here.
The resturant itself is massive, 2 floors, a long bar, loads of seating and nice decoration with guitars and other rock memorabilia. Theres loud rock music playing, but not too loud that you cant speak to each other.
Its also quite child friendly, there were a lot of families in here, and they do child size portions of all the main meals.
I really enjoyed the meal here, the atmosphere was great. It was packed but we still got our food after 20mins and this was just long enough before we started getting really hungry.
The waiter was lovely and we got great service, we left him a good tip.
Summary: Best icecream sundae ever
