Advantages: Nice cakes, good for non smokers, board games and beer!

Disadvantages: It's pretty tidy and not particularly roomy, the chance of falling over is quite large lol

Though not much of a nightlife spot but rather somewhere to warm up, or a place ideal for pregnant women and non-smokers. Miedzy Slowami is located bang in the centre of Warsaw, at the back of a courtyard off one of the main shopping streets (Ul. Chmiena), Miedzy Slowami is a cafe which serves beer but is one of the very few places which have non-smoking in the city.

Beer at 7zl for a large Okocim or Carlsberg is about as good as you will find in this neck of the woods. The pub has a laid back feel to it, a bit museumy in a way, like an old school tea room.

There are comfortable seats and board games ready to play (Monopoly, Scrabble, Taboo and several others), it's not all that large but is certainly cosy enough to while away the hours whilst it's cold outside. Hot and regular temperature wine is available as well as long drinks.

Food is somewhat limited but fairly acceptable for a cafe - good quality salads, sandwiches and toasties are available - not much for the meat eater though as most ingredients are either a cheese of some kind or fish (tuna, salmon). The speciality is definitely the tasty apple pie, which is a perfect to accompany tea or coffee.

The name means Lost in Translation which is a funny choice of name but there's nothing to laugh at here as they offer good service, prices, location and keep the choice to a capable amount. If there's one thing missing, it's a piano - the maroon and wooden decor calls for a piano!

Summary: Nice centrally located, well priced pub/cafe.
