Plan B is a club/pub in Warsaw that can be found at Plac Zbawiciela just a handful of tram stops from Metro Centrum towards the south. A 'square' that is in fact a circle of arches with various restaurants and bars there, Plan B has been in town for a couple of years and is owned by the same people as Powiekszenie a good club in the centre.
Plan B is notoriously alternative and offers different music on different nights, earlier in the week there is often a bit of hip hop or dancehall and it usually lends itself to rock, funk and rarer tunes towards the end of the week. The DJ's - Warsaw City Rockers who pride themselves on playing garage music from the 60s and proto punk from the 70s also usually make at least an appearance or two a month.
The seating is comfortable but the place has drawn a lot of custom in recent years which means that it's often absolutely packed, there's a backroom that is put together with a sort of industrial feel to it but you get the feeling it's supposed to be cosy as it's blocked from the rest of the pub with a curtain and speakers don't blast out music into that part.
With popularity, the prices have also rised and beer is about 9zl (about 2 pounds at the moment), whilst not extortionate, it's a bit steeper than I prefer to pay, the alternative music played here also tends to attract a lot of the rich studenty types who whilst harmless enough, I personally find quite irritating.
By no means a place that would be top on my list but the kind of place you can always fall back on - Plan B is the perfect name.
