Advantages: friendly, fantastic food, great ambiance

Disadvantages: two levels, so you have to walk around alot if you want to see whom is there

I took a holiday in Heidelberg, Germany to see and meet new people. I started off by trying out new types of restaurants, new night clubs, and doing all of your typical sight seeing touristy things. Little did I know that there was a bit of Heaven tucked away on the streets of Heidelberg. From the minute I walked into Sean Og, I felt so at home. The funny thing is I am from western Canada, and we dont have Irish Pubs where I am from! Firstly, I was shocked that the main clientelle was English speaking...a nice break from my stumbling German. Secondly, the owners and managers were fantastic! Unbelievably friendly and introduced me to a whole load of people, and great food. I have yet to find a Shepards Pie thats tastes as delicious. Anyhow, my so-called two hour stop at a pub ended up a three day stay and I still felt I had not enough time there. So my review of this particular pub would be beyond a five star. Everything about it made it an awsome visit! If you are in the area and would like to visit this little piece of heaven, it is located on Hauptstrasse 93, Heidelberg.
