Advantages: Great music, friendly staff

Disadvantages: Only two toilets in girls bathrooms

The Crows Nest Disco Pub is located in Cap Salou on the Costa Dorada. I was on holiday there in July 2008 with four friends and we found it quite by accident (stumbled past it drunk and decided to go in!)
What we found was a really welcoming place which has both a chilled out bar and manic dancefloor so there is something for everyone.

The bar is upstairs so you have to climb a very long set of stairs to get to the top which can be difficult to negotiate after having a few especially with Spanish measures of vodka. There is an open terrace with a lot of seating, all covered by parasols. There was an outside bar and a couple of pool tables and it had a very laid back atmosphere. Children were allowed in this area until midnight but could not go inside after 9pm and they were very strict about this which was good because there is not need for children to be in nightclubs.

The inside again had another bar and a very large dance floor. The music ranged from the latest chart hits to country music and the DJ was brilliant, even downloading a very obscure song for us girls by an Irish country artist! The dancefloor was quite big and never felt overly crowded so you were able to bust a few moves without annoying other people. There were also pillars near the edge of the dancefloor where you could set your drinks and still keep an eye on them while dancing.

The best bit about the club in my opinion was their shuttlebus. Every night their PR guy came to our hotel to see if we wanted to go to the club and arranged for us to get a lift there and back in their club minibus. This was free of charge and a great service especially as we were all girls and didn't want to walk home alone in a strange country (or in killer high heels!)

The staff were all really friendly and chatted away to us and were genuinely interested in where we were from and how we were getting on. Because of this we went there nearly every night. They also ran great drinks promotions such as buy three bottles of Smirnoff Ice and get a free T-Shirt which we all availed of! You also got a complimentary shot on arrival.

I would highly recommend this club to anyone going in the Salou direction! The only downside was that there were only two toilets in the girls bathroom and there was often a queue but apart from that it was fabulous!
