Avon Bubble Bath Confetti
by purplekimmy
I love anything purple, I love snow, I love baths, I love confetti!!! Could this product be any more perfect for me? Answer NO!!!!
I bought a couple of these as stocking fillers as they make a great little gifts and at 2 for £5 I thought they were well priced. Due to them being everything I love I made sure I bought one so I ... could keep it as well. It comes in a plastic tub with pretty purple and white snowflakes on, once opened the actual confetti is very small but beautiful white and purple flakes.
I was eager to try them out so I turned on the water into the bath and threw some confetti under the running water as well as generally sprinkling the flakes over the surface of the water. The scent of the lotus flower and coconut although a strange combination, filled the air and was very pleasant indeed. After the bath was full I turned off the water and stood looking for the bubbles, they were there when the water was running but now seemed to have vanished. Maybe the hot water had melted the snowflakes? I swished my hands around the water trying to entice some bubbles back but nothing. I got into the bath anyway and added a few more flakes, swishing brought out the bubbles but quickly they vanished again. The smell was beautiful and I was left delicately scented but disappointed at how long the bubbles lasted. Read the complete review |

Avon Senses Mystique Liquid Soap
by alyson29
A few months ago I discovered the Avon Senses Liquid Soap range and as I was so pleased with my initial purchase, I placed a further order with my local representative for the remaining fragrances within the range. I have now had the opportunity to use each of the liquid soaps with this review discussing Mistique Sensual.
It ... was only when I received my delivery of the 300 ml transparent plastic bottle that I realised the fragrance included vanilla, which is a scent I cannot bear. However, as I cannot abide waste, I decided to try out my new purchase in the hope that the vanilla would be delicate with the most prominent scents being that of rose gardenia and jasmine peach.
The appearance of the product differs slightly to the image that I provided to Dooyoo, which I obtained from the Avon website with the label displaying a relaxing night time scene. Whilst the shape of the bottle isn't what I would describe as luxurious, it doesn't look out of place when situated next to the bathroom sink. The hand wash offers a vibrant cerise colour and matches the pump dispensing unit, which fits in perfectly with the rose gardenia scent. One press of the pump provides a sufficient amount of the good consistency liquid soap and when introduced to water it creates a plentiful lather. An issue I have experienced with a few brands of liquid soap is that the pump leaks and/or drips, but I cannot report of any issues with this product.
Despite my initial concerns in relation to the vanilla aroma, I was pleased that the only detectable fragrances were that of the dreamy and romantic rose gardenia and the delicate hint of jasmine peach. Rose fragrances can often be overly floral and somewhat cloying, but Avon has achieved the perfect balance, as the jasmine peach perfectly compliments the delightful rose. The liquid soap is easily rinsed away from my skin without leaving any sticky residue and I favour the fact that its delicate fragrance lingers for a short while after using.
Unfortunately, I suffer with problematic skin on my hands, which becomes extremely dry with my knuckles splitting and subsequently bleeding. Whilst my condition is currently under control, I am always a little wary of new products as I'm afraid that the ingredients could exacerbate my problem. However, I suffered no adverse reaction when using such as dryness or itching. Whilst the dispensing unit reaches to the bottom of the bottle I was unable to remove the last few drops, which is often the case with liquid soaps.
I can highly recommend Mystique and I will now be seeking out the shower gel, as it's such a beautiful floral fragrance without being overpowering. The normal price for this liquid soap is £2, which I feel is a little excessive. However, at the time of writing, you can make a purchase either online or from your local representative for £1.25, which I feel is far more acceptable.
I hope you found my review useful and thanks for reading. Read the complete review |
