Avon Bubble Bath Confetti
by purplekimmy I love anything purple, I love snow, I love baths, I love confetti!!! Could this product be any more perfect for me? Answer NO!!!! I bought a couple of these as stocking fillers as they make a great little gifts and at 2 for £5 I thought they were well priced. Due to them being everything I love I made sure I bought one so I ... could keep it as well. It comes in a plastic tub with pretty purple and white snowflakes on, once opened the actual confetti is very small but beautiful white and purple flakes. I was eager to try them out so I turned on the water into the bath and threw some confetti under the running water as well as generally sprinkling the flakes over the surface of the water. The scent of the lotus flower and coconut although a strange combination, filled the air and was very pleasant indeed. After the bath was full I turned off the water and stood looking for the bubbles, they were there when the water was running but now seemed to have vanished. Maybe the hot water had melted the snowflakes? I swished my hands around the water trying to entice some bubbles back but nothing. I got into the bath anyway and added a few more flakes, swishing brought out the bubbles but quickly they vanished again. The smell was beautiful and I was left delicately scented but disappointed at how long the bubbles lasted. Read the complete review |

Tesco Floral Secrets Bathing Roses
by k2705 For Christmas my mum and dad always do mark and myself a nice bath basket as one of our presents. My mum always says she can make mine pretty but marks isn't so easy, well men wouldn't appreciate bath flowers, especially mark! One thing she bought this time was Tesco Bath Roses, Mum actually took the flowers from their box and placed ... them over the top of my basket, they really did look pretty. Tesco Bath Roses are sold in a box of 6. The bottom and sides of the box has a "Cath Kidston" look to it. Its pale blue with white spots. The top of the box is clear so you can see the six pink roses sitting inside, there is a small blue and white flowered label which says Floral Secrets Bathing Roses. Each rose weighs 10g and they are a very pretty pale pink colour. As you would expect they have a lovely rose fragrance, not over powering but sweet and delicate. Each rose is made up of 6 layers each with 5 petals and they feel like strong paper before they go into the water. Its easy to pull the layers apart they are just sat inside each other. To use the bath roses you simply drop them into a nice warm bath and swirl the water. I would advise at this point to separate the layers of the rose rather than place it in the water in one piece. When dropped into the water each layer floats on the top and at this point they look like little daisy heads. As they get wet the rose layers gradually expand into a soap like substance. At this point the bath really looks pretty with the water covered in pink flowers and smelling of roses. They do create a few bubbles although there's nothing on the box about it and its nothing like bubble bath. The roses do eventually break up and they have a soapy slightly sticky feel to them, I find the roses have completely melted away before I get out of the bath but the fragrance doesn't really fade and can be smelt in the bathroom afterward. The roses don't leave my skin feeling particularly moisturised but they make no claims to, on the other hand they don't dry it out either. I personally use these when I'm having a nice long soak so they've fully melted before I wash. As I mentioned its better not to put a whole a rose in the bath without separating the layers as it will just go into a soggy pink clump like bubble gum. As I mentioned I had these as a gift but I do know they are a Tesco product and at Christmas were round about £3.00. These make a pretty little gift and fragrance your bath with a delicate rose smell. I would certainly recommend them as a present, stocking filler or in my case a basket topper. Avon Bubble Bath Confetti
by zombieflesh I really love a good bubble bath, they are so comforting and relaxing and more enjoyable than just having a quick wash in the shower. I get through loads of bath products because of this, and I can't stand having a bath without bubbles, it is one of the saddest experiences ever. I bought this Bubble Bath Confetti recently as I really ... liked the wintery theme. It is made by Avon, so you can buy from your local Avon representative or online at www.avonshop.co.uk. The RRP is £4.00, but at the time of purchase it was available for £2.40. Product description: "Thailand lotus flower and coconut scented bath confetti. Sprinkle under running water. Leaves skin feeling refreshed and lightly scented." The bath bubbles come in a small plastic tub and contains 35g of product. This didn't really seem like a lot when I first saw it, but actually when I used it there was enough to last me for 5 generously bubbled baths. The Snowflakes Bath Confetti looks really cute, with a simple snowflake image on the front of the tub, and the confetti itself is very decorative. The confetti is made up from lots of little snowflake shapes in shades of white and purple. To use, you simply let the confetti dissolve into your bath water. To make the confetti turn the bath bubbly I like to sprinkle the confetti under the running taps. I also prefer to wait until the confetti has completely dissolved before I get into the bath, as I made the mistake of getting in with the snowflakes swirling around me, and then promptly freaked out as a half-disolved sticky snowflake brushed up against my leg and tickled me! The scent of the bath confetti is delicious and exotic. It is not exactly what I would have expected from a wintery themed item, but the lotus flower and coconut is a pretty fragrance and creates a nice relaxing effect. To begin with the confetti gives off a load of lovely bubbles, but then within only 5 minutes each and every bubble disappears and I'm sat there with plain old boring bath water, which I hate! I was disappointed that the bubbles fade so quickly, and this happens practically straight away, even if I'm just soaking for a few minutes and not splashing around, or using other products just yet, or doing anything that could spoil the bubbles. The bath confetti looks great as it's floating around the bath, but not only do the bubles then vanish, but it does not have any effect on my skin. It's not softening or moisturising so it does feel like a bit of a waste of time to use the product, as it falls flat on pretty much every area where you would want it to perform. Overall I'd say this is ok as a novelty item but it's not something that I would bother to buy again. The confetti looks pretty but the bubbles quickly disappear and it did nothing for my skin. It would make a fun little stocking filler, but if you want an effective bath product I would advise you to look elsewhere. Read the complete review |
