Imperial Leather Soft Touch Moisturising Bath Cream
by juicy_lucy
Imperial leather soft touch moisturising bath cream with jojoba milk and vitamin e
I buy a lot of these imperial leather bath creams because they suit all of the family and seem to last us some time
THE PROMISES...
This promises to be Skin friendly pH with triple moisturising ingredients ... which is dermatologically tested and mild enough for the whole family. I can't vouch for many of the claims but can certainly vouch for e fact that good for the whole family.
WHY IS IT GOOD FOR SKIN?
It contains jojoba milk and vitamin E. this is because Jojoba milk has been used for centuries as a natural moisturiser and Vitamin E is an antioxidant vital for healthy, happy skin.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The bubble bath comes in a 500ml bottle with the information about the product on the back of the bottle and on the front a picture of a flower and the name of the product. The bottle is opened by twisting a rather large purple lid. It's isn't the easiest method of opening a bottle and its also quite tricky to close because I have to match the bottle and lid exactly before giving it one twist to close.
The bubble bath itself is white and quite thick in consistency. This thickness means that it doesn't come out of the bottle over quickly which is just as well because the dispensing hole is large and if it was thin it would probably all come out at once. It has a pleasant and not overpowering smell which I can smell as soon as I open the bottle and which becomes more obvious when the product is poured under warm running water. It does make the bathroom smell nice and floral but although I can smell it on my skin immediately after bathing it doesn't linger too long which is good so it doesn't conflict with any other products I apply to my skin.
USING THE PRODUCT...
The bubble bath should be poured under running water. Doing this immediately makes the bubble bath bubble, and it does produce a pleasing amount of bubbles which I like.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
The RRp is around the £1.50 mark but I frequently buy the product for £1 as it is usually on offer. It's available in supermarkets chemists and bargain stores so an easy one to
Get hold of.
I am currently using the jojoba milk and vitamin E version but it is available in several other smells but given that I generally like these products I usually buy whatever is on offer.
VERDICT...
this is a good value bubble bath product which is great for all the family and leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturised. When finished the bottle can be recycled so another plus point.
Good value bath cream which I would recommend.

The Sanctuary Luxury Bath Float
by tigger1992
Sanctuary Spa Luxury Bath Float
This is a brand that I have tried for years and I have used most of their original 'classic' products - I have gone through a couple of these bottles over the years and I receive them in gift sets usually as minis, like this one.
- Product description (from ... Boots.com)
"Sanctuary Luxury Bath Float is enriched with antioxidant vitamin E, hydrating freesia and moisturising baobab extracts, skin will be left nourished, velvety smooth and softly scented whilst you unwind and let your troubles drift away."
- About the product
The body wash comes in a clear plastic tube and the version I have contains 75ml of product. The body wash contains nourishing freesia and baobab extracts. Sanctuary is against animal testing, the product does not contain parabens although sodium laureth sulphate is an ingredient - which some people can have a negative reaction to but it is a commonly used ingredient to help products lather.
- Scent
The scent of this product is the same as the original sanctuary scent - floral, musky sweet which is quite generic when you look at the fragrance description but I haven't come across any other products that smell like the sanctuary ones. I have been using sanctuary products for years now and I do really like the scent, I find it quite relaxing and indulgent but it can be boring after a while, in my opinion.
- Using this product
I only used this product as a shower gel and it worked really well - the body wash lathered well although this is to be expected with one of the main ingredients being sodium laureth sulphate. As the product lathers well and creates lots of creamy bubbles, the really nice spa-like scent is released. The product lathers well with any bath scrunchie/lily and the lather feels really smooth, creamy and moisturising. The product is easy to rinse off and the scent does transfer slightly to my skin once dry. This body wash leaves my skin clean, smooth and moisturised to an extent - although I do still apply body lotion as it is not that moisturising. I haven't experienced any negative reaction to this product while I have been using it and this product/brand is a favourite with many in my family.
- Price and availability
This product was part of a gift set but the bath float can be bought individually from the sanctuary online store or at boots for £9.50 for 500ml which I think is good value. You can also find sanctuary products at Debenhams and eBay.

Boots Natural Collection Strawberry Bath Cream
by suziedre
I got this Natural Collection Wild Strawberry Bath Cream as part of a gift set at Christmas. I don't normally buy from the Natural Collection range myself due to the price, and also because, as I have said before on reviews of products from this range, I do not believe there is anything 'natural' about them as they seem extremely ... coloured and perfumed.
PACKAGING
This comes in a cylindrical shaped bottle with a black plastic lid. A juicy looking strawberry is on the front, which gives the impression that this is positively bursting with strawberries.
SMELL AND APPEARANCE
This bath cream is a vivid slightly pinkish red colour, and is pearlescent. It's fairly thick but true to its rather non-natural nature, there are no strawberry seeds in it like you might find with other strawberry bath or shower gels. The smell is very sweet and fruity and really does smell like strawberries. The packaging describes the smell as 'summer-fresh'.
USAGE AND AFTER
When using this, the smell filled the entire bathroom which I really liked. Sadly it did not linger on my skin afterward, but the bathroom did smell like strawberry for the rest of the evening! It created a large amount of soft white bubbles which was really lovely, and bathing in this felt very luxurious and soothing. While this is described as 'summer fresh', I don't think this could be limited purely for use in the summer months - it felt more than nice using it for a nice hot bubble bath during winter.
The bath cream is quite thick and you really have to squeeze the sides of the bottle in order to dispense it. It comes out in gloopy lumps and so with each use I did end up using loads of it. This only lasted for about 4 baths before the bottle was empty which really is not cost effective whatsoever.
My skin felt very soft after using this, and it is just a shame my skin was not scented also.
PRICE
This costs £2 from Boots. This is more than I would normally pay for bubble bath or shower gel in these budget-conscious times, so I can't entirely say that the price is justified. For £2 I would want this product to last for a lot longer.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS?
I would recommend this, again if you could afford the price tag. The main reason I would recommend this is because it does smell absolutely gorgeous. If this was cheaper, I would definitely buy it for myself as it's so nice to have a bath with this and let the sweet, fruity aroma waft around the bathroom. Read the complete review |
