Matey Mer-Matey Bubble Bath

I took a bath in Matey tonight! Well, actually I took my daughter's bath water and added a little hot to the water to make it more my preferred temperature.
Packaging
Mer Matey has undergone a bit of a makeover since the above picture and looks a little more modern. She's still the same shape and size though so ... there are plenty of original features there. The bottle is pink and girly and easy to grip hold of as it's curvy and the top is like a hat but again easy to grasp. Whilst it is recyclable, the bottle is so cute I don't think I want to part with it when it's empty. Any ideas for a second life?
In use
I tipped a bit in the bath whilst the taps were running and maybe I was a bit stingey as I needed to add a bit more to create lots of bubbles. The liquid was pink and smelt really fruity, like strawberries.
My thoughts
I'm not usually a fan of fruity bath products but I take it all back for matey! It smells gorgeous and is totally right for little girls (and mums who sneak in a quick bath afterwards!). The product is nice and gentle on skin and has not caused us any problems, we have been using it intermittently since Christmas.
Price
I picked up two different bottle of Matey at Christmas from Boots whilst they were on offer. We actually got loads of baby bath products but I wanted to get this as I remember enjoying a matey bubble bath as a child. As memory serves, I think I got two bottles for £3 which is a good price for this popular bubble bath.
Final word
I did find I needed to use a generous amount in the bath but the bubbles lasted ages and my daughter was playing with them loads, putting them on her bath book and blowing on the bubbles. For some reason tonight she wanted to sit on a step whilst in the bath (like an old lady lol!) but she didn't want to get out of the bath so I'd say this product was a big hit. We still have around a third of the bottle left and will continue to enjoy using it before cracking open the next bottle of Matey. A definite repurchase in the future.

Matey Mer-Matey Bubble Bath

Our Daughter Loves bath time. Unfortunately she has always suffered from dry skin and so instead of the nice exciting bubble baths we have been using very bland ones designed for sensitive skin or prescribed by the doctor.
Recently her skin had improved a lot and while we were out shopping I decided to give this a ... try.
It comes in a lovely girly pink bottle with a picture of a mermaid and the lid is the crown on her head (i think the image has been updated since the picture above but it is very similar).
The bottle is a nice shape and easy to hold and it is a good size at 500ml especially as you only need a small amount so lasts a good amount of time.
The cap is a screw top and easy to undo. The bubble bath inside is a lovely bright bubble gum pink and has a strawberry smell to it.
I put a big blob under running water and it creates lots of bubbles, enough to full the bath. The bubbles also last without just dissolving into the water, even after a bath marathon there are some left behind when we get our daughter out.
The best thing for us is that her skin has not re-acted. The bottle says it is hypoallergenic and PH balanced and suitable for sensitive skin.
So now she has a lovely girly pink bubble bath she can enjoy without the dry skin afterwards - full marks for this one Matey!!

Matey Mer-Matey Bubble Bath

My daughter absoloutly loves bubbles in her bath but unfortunatly her skin reacts too most childrens bubble bath on the market , she has very sensitive skin and often comes out in rashes after bathing with bubbles . I felt so sorry for her as she would always beg for mummy too put bubbles in her bath but i got fed up of every bubble ... bath i used (even though they claimed to be for sensitive skin ) reacting badly with her skin ,but one day i was on my weekly shop when my little girl spotted this on the shelf I looked at the bottle and it did say for sensitive skin and as my daughter pleaded and pleaded I decided to give it a whirl and guess what..... NO REACTION !! her skin was lovley and soft after with no red marks. It was well worth the money you only need to use a little of the bubble mixture to create a bath full of bubbles , it has a fab fresh and fruity smell and it last for quite a while.
A great bubble bath for kids.
