Nivea For Men Sensitive Shower Gel
by cooperd2001
If you have any issues with dry skin of you take part in sports, particularly distance running then this is the product for you. Continued activity in wet clothes, whether it be from sweat or rainfall, often results in chaffing and this can lead to raw, damaged and ultimately painful skin. This product makes a big difference in reducing ... that pain during your after exercise shower/bath. Highly fragranced body washes and shower gels can be very uncomfortable whereas this product will not only feel better it will leave you feeling clean and refreshed. I take part in a lot of outdoor sports, mostly football and distance running, and have tried everything on the market and always come back to Nivea. Good value for money as the amount you get is far greater than your average competitor brands so the price is pretty fair for what you are getting. Highly recommend. Read the complete review |

Nivea Sensitive Balance Shower Gel
by helenc72
Recently I have been trying to stick to gentler and less strongly perfumed and chemically shower gels and looking out for the ones which are non irritating and suitable for sensitive skin, because I was advised to do this for a few weeks after a medical procedure.
This Nivea shower gel caught my eye in Tesco as it stated it ... was for sensitive skin and had a simple, calming look to it. When I had a closer look I saw that it was ph balanced to be non irritating, has chamomile and is gentle and moisturising. I trust the Nivea brand as they are so well known and reliable so for the bargain price of just £1 on offer I decided to buy it.
I have been using this shower gel regularly over the last couple of weeks (alternating with another similar one from Simple which I will also review) and I really like it.
The shower gel is in a clear 250 ml bottle and the gel itself is also clear without a visible colour. However you can still see the level going down in the bottle. It is easy to dispense but not too runny and watery. It lathers up very nicely on a shower puff and the foam it makes is lovely and feels soft and light but moisturising. It smells really nice, quite simple and natural with a calming green sort of scent which does not come across as chemically or artificial.
It leaves my skin feeling very clean and fresh, and does not dry it out at all and I have not suffered any kind of irritation whatsoever from this product.
I really like this one. I often am tempted to go for all kinds of different scents in shower gels but I have actually enjoyed going back to basics with this and I would definitely get it again.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants a bargain shower gel, who prefers a simpler scent and wants something that works well is gentle and non drying or irritating. Read the complete review |

Nivea Powerfruits Shower Gel
by k2705
When it comes to shower gel I am not loyal to a particular brand and will tend to go for whatever is on offer at the time. During a recent shopping trip to Tesco I needed to purchase some more shower gel and found the new Nivea Powerfruit shower gel on offer, I decided to give it a go, they had a range of fragrances available so I went ... for the Refresh variety.
Packaging
The Nivea Powerfruit Refresh shower gel comes in a transparent purple plastic bottle, the lid is made from blue and white plastic and is a flip lid. The bottle has a label on the front of it which has the name Nivea written inside a large dark blue rectangle in white writing, beneath this is the name of the product "Powerfruit Refresh", right at the bottom of the label is a picture of some cranberries indicating the fragrance of this product. On the back of the bottle is a white label which contains all of the product information along with the ingredients, this is then repeated in a second language.
The Shower Gel
The Nivea Powerfruit Refresh shower gel is a transparent purple colour to match the bottle, the consistency of is of a reasonable thickness and has a lovely fragrance. The fragrance of this product as I expected and as the name suggests is fruity, to be honest I wouldn't say the fragrance was of cranberries as suggested, it has a sweet smell to it which is combined with the fruit fragrance.
The product information states that the product should also smell of goji berries which I have no idea what they smell like. The combination of fragrances is designed to energise you whilst the vitamin C cleanses and invigorates your skin, this shower gel is said to leave your skin feeling soft and well cared for which I have to agree with, after using this product my skin feels lovely and soft, this is caused by the Hydra IQ moisture technology, the fragrance lingers for a good amount of time afterwards and really does leave my skin smelling fresh.
Directions for Use
There are no actual directions for use on the packaging, however you use this product in the same way as any other shower gel, you apply a small amount of the product to your sponge or puff and lather it up, apply it to your skin and then rinse. The amount of the shower gel that you use depends on personal preference, however I find that I only need a small amount of the shower gel as it lathers up really well and a small amount goes a long way.
Price and Availability
As I have mentioned I purchased my 250ml bottle of Nivea Powerfruit Refresh shower gel from Tesco, however it is also available from Boots, when I bought mine it was on offer for £1.00 but it is normally sold for £1.95. Personally I think this is quite a reasonable price especially as you only need a small amount of the product at a time, the bottle is long lasting.
My Opinion
Since I purchased the Nivea Powerfruit Refresh shower gel I have been very pleased with it, it has a lovely fragrance which lasts well and leaves your skin smelling and feeling clean and fresh. Although it does not make any promises to be suitable for sensitive skin it does seem to be mild and gentle and is ideal for all the family.
I have found that the shower gel leaves your skin feeling soft and hydrated, even the lather feels soft to touch. Personally I think this product is very reasonably priced and worth the money. I would certainly buy this shower gel again and would recommend it to anyone. Read the complete review |
