Original Source British Strawberry Shower Gel
by Lakerfanster
**Introduction**
Original Source shower gels and deodorants have been around for a few years now and whenever a new range comes on the market and gets a big buzz I like to try it and have tried a few of the shower gels in the Original Source range over the last couple of years and the most recent one I have tried is this one. ... For those who aren't familiar with the brand they have a wide range of shower gels which contain an interesting range of mixes from the likes of the Black Pepper and Chili & Mint and Walnut varieties as well as the more standard fruity mixes like this Strawberry one which is one of the most popular shower gels in the Original Source range.
**Original Source Strawberry**
This is a lovely shower gel which has a refreshing Summery scent. Strawberries are a big part of Summer in this Country as anyone who watches the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament every year will know. The shower gel has a lovely scent right from the opening of the bottle. You get a lovely Strawberry scent which once mixed with water works really well to cleanse and soothe your skin. It works well against other shower gels on the market and also gives you a decent length of use as you don't need too much to lather a decent amount for your shower or bath. It works well for both men and women.
**Overall**
I recommend this shower gel to anyone who likes fruity shower gels. It leaves your skin feeling fresh and leaves a lovely subtle Strawberry scent which will combine with your deodorant well especially if it's one of the Original Source range of deodorants which are also on offer. This is one of the nicest shower gels I have recently discovered from a new to me perspective. I will certainly try some of the other original source shower gels and having owned a couple of their deodorants too I may explore more of them too. This is an excellent all round shower gel. Original Source Tea Tree and Lemon Shower Gel
by Kirsty_89
DESCRIPTION
This is an "Original Source" shower gel. The brand tries very hard to appeal to people who enjoy all things natural and ethical. This Lemon and Tea Tree shower gel is suitable for vegans and includes essential oils to nourish the body. I'd seen this brand advertised on the television and I like product ... with tea tree in so decided to give it a try.
PACKAGING
I quite like the packaging of original source products despite it being rather basic. The cap of the shower gel is plain black with a flip lid to open but what I really like is that the cap is at the bottom of the bottle meaning that it stands up on it's cap. This is a simple idea but I really like it because it means you don't have to wait for the shower gel to run down to the lid when you're running out as you do with some gels. With this one the product is always ready to be squeezed out of the bottle. The main bottle is see through plastic and it says on the back that the packaging is recyclable which I also like!
On the front of the bottle it says that 10 real zesty lemons are packed into the product on the back it gives safety and all the regular information and also states that the bottle includes 250ml.
PRICE
I paid £1 for mine on offer in ASDA but you can purchase the product from most chemists and supermarkets.
PERFORMANCE
I really like this shower gel, as somebody that spends a lot of time in the shower I think it's important to have a good shower gel, one that helps your skin but also smells lovely! This shower gel is just the right consistency, not too runny as some gels often are. The gel is a bright yellow colour (blame those zesty lemons) and the smell certainly packs a punch. The citrus burst from the lemons smells really refreshing and I can still smell it on my skin later in the day. The shower gel also lathers very well something I also find a problem with some shower gels. You don't need too much of the product either, just squirt a small dollop on your loufa and away you go!
OVERALL
A very good shower gel with a really lovely smell, it also makes my skin feel really soft and clean afterwards. Will definitely be buying this product again! Read the complete review |

Original Source Chocolate & Mint Shower Gel
by zoeeaton1
I have always been a sucker for buying whatever shower gel is on offer at the time when I do my grocery shopping at Asda. Most of the time this would be just cheap brands and I would not pay much attention to what the scent was.
*** The Product***
That was until I saw Original Source 'Chocolate & Mint' shower ... gel was on offer at £1. I had never heard of this brand before but it looked like a expensive brand just due to the packaging and the sheer flavour/scent of the shower gel as I had never seen one like it before!! The packaging is in a shaped bottle rather then a bog standard bottle shape. It stood out due to the shower gel being the colour of brown like chocolate and the writing on the bottle was a bright green like the Mint. The way the writing was on the bottle made the shower gel look expensive due to it being a nice font and placed vertically as well. All these little things attracted me to it and made me think this was a bargain for £1.
I managed to wait until I got home to flip open the lid and take a smell. I was half expecting it to smell like a tacky chocolate smell almost?? Like cheap chocolate. This smelt nothing like that! The smell of chocolate and mint together smells absolutely gorgeous and so fresh and I just couldn't wait to get in the shower! When I actually used it it was a bit thick and gloopy when I squeezed the bottle so a lot came out rather then it being poured out.
After I had got dry from the shower I was keen to see whether or not the strong smell had held on my skin or had totally gone and to my delight it was a very mild smelling of fresh chocolate & mint. I was hoping to leave some of it on my skin so I smelt fresh all day and this was the case although I know a lot of people might not like this.
It is definitely a luxury shower item for me I use it, it feels like you've been spoilt almost! For £1 I think this is well worth it and there are many scents by original source such as teatree and lemon which smell equally as nice! Read the complete review |
