As a stocking filler for my husband last year I got him a gift set that contained this shower gel and the body spray that went with it. I had never smelt it before when I bought it for him but I took a stab in the dark and hoped for the best.
Now he wears sexy 212 usually and I love that scent on him, I never thought that I would find one I preferred especially a cheapie one from adidas, but I did, this product smells amazing. When he uses it in the shower I can smell it through the upstairs and the smell stays on his skin for hours after, I love it!
The gel is easy to dispense from a squeeze bottle and he doesn't need to use a lot to get it to lather up really nicely. It can be used for body or hair but personally he only uses it on his body not his hair. It leaves his skin feeling squeaky clean and did I mention it smells amazing?!
You can usually buy this from most supermarkets and drug stores and its always available around Christmas time in the gift set. Its usually around £2.50 a bottle but more often than not somewhere will have it on offer for around £1 a bottle which is a bargain and we stock up when it is. I and he have repurchased this multiple times and will continue to do so as he loves it as much as I do.
For a cheaper brand it is brilliant and I even prefer it to more expensive brands, it really surprised me. I recognise it as his scent now and its lovely. I would really recommend giving this a go.
I have done quite a few fragrance and deodorant reviews in the past few months as well as my Music reviews of course so I thought I'd review something different today. When it comes to Shower Gels I have used many of the Lynx and Adidas products. The Adidas Toiletries are part of the Coty brand. The product collection of Coty includes fragrances, deodorants, cosmetics & bathing products so they know their stuff and have a decent reputation which they bring to Adidas branded products too which includes Shower Gel, Deodorant, Eau De Toilette's and Shaving products like Gel and After Shave. So how does this particular product fare?.
Pure Game shower gel by Adidas is a decent shower gel which has a bright limey green look and Is a shower gel which has a fresh scent which includes citrus fruits, fizzy green basil and fresh spicy pepper. The shower gel contains notes of grapefruit, mandarin, orange, basil and pepper as well as lavender, guaiac wood and cypress finally followed by sandalwood, patchouli, incense and tonka bean. The scent hits you once you open the bottle and mixed with the water it's a very nice sharp scent. The shower gel also feels good on the skin and leaves you feeling clean and fresh with a subtle scent lingering. It's also an adequate shampoo alternative if you have run out.
This is an excellent shower gel which always seems to be available on some kind of discount with buy one get one free offers as well as 3 for 2's on a variety of products. If not on an offer it's available for around £2 which is still pretty good for the product you get. I have bought this particular shower gel a few times and have always liked the results. It lasts pretty well too as you don't need to lather too much of the shower gel in your hands. The fairly strong citrus notes are a little boost if you are feeling a little tired in the morning before your shower. All in all It's an excellent shower gel which I would certainly buy again and as I have nearly run out of Shower Gel I might choose to get it again soon.
This I brought as a gift as it looks nice to give to someone as a gift. Also the smell is fantastic.smells as if its refreshin to get your day started or maybe a hard workout in the gym. The colour I love very fashionable great for value of money. I asked my parnter what he thinks great refreshing and last forever .And that he would it again. You can this product from most shops includin tesco. Asda and wilkinson and many many more.
this is lovely shower gel for men it has a nice citrus smell, its a lovely funky colour and comes in a nice compact bottle so it's great also for taking on holiday and fitting into a wash bag. its also great for moisturising the skin and stopping dry skin occurring. its very nice to ex foliate the skin make it soft clear the dead skin cells away and refresh the skin.its also only £1.50 so its hardly breaking the budget its a great price for this product as it's long lasting a bottle will last you about a month if you shower every day. over all its great for men to use and perfect for people with skin conditions and will protect your skin against dry or rough skin.
Both my husband and myself received some gorgeous toiletry gift sets at Christmas time and so we have agreed not to buy any more shower gel or soap products until our massive stock-pile has been reduced a little!
One item that my husband received was a gift set containing a shower gel and matching products, from the popular 'Adidas' range. I'm not 100% sure what the other items in the gift set were, but this review details my experience of the shower gel product which is called "Adidas Pure Game".
I initially ended up trying the Adidas shower gel because I had forgotten to take my own shower gel product into the shower with me so had to use what was already in there, which on this occasion was the Adidas Pure Game shower gel. After my use of the product on this initial occasion however, it became a bit of a favourite of mine and I found myself often choosing it over something else.
The product is one that has undoubtedly been designed for men. This is reflected in the scent of the product and the product packaging. The packaging consists of a clear bottle, which is 250ml in size with a black label on the front and a plastic black lid on the top. The lid has a sort of 'slanted' design to it and there is a 'flip up' cap on top of the lid, containing a small nozzle underneath through which the liquid can be dispensed. One of the sides of the bottle has a sort of 'curve' in it which allows the bottle to be held and squeezed easily, and this is the case even with wet or soapy hands. The bottle has another 'easy to grip' feature in that there is a scattering of some little raised 'dimples' on the sides of the bottle and I find this design is quite unique and not one that I have encountered before. All in all, the design of the product - based on it's appearance - is one that is very much aimed at men, in my opinion.
The liquid shower gel is a sort of yellow -green colour, but it is nowhere near as luminous or as bright as the picture on the Dooyoo page would suggest. The liquid is not overly thick, so that it is difficult to dispense from the plastic bottle, but neither is it too thin in its consistency to allow it to be spilled from my hand when I am pouring it out.
Even as I pour the liquid from the bottle I can smell the strong fragrance of the shower gel and it is really quite noticeable. I think that the fragrance is very pleasant, and it is the main reason that I continued to use the product after my initial trial. Checking the reverse of the plastic bottle, I can see that the product is "Enriched with guaiac wood extract" but as I have no knowledge of what this product is I can't comment too much on its presence in the product.
The fragrance is quite woody and slightly musky in my opinion, although it doesn't possess that rather 'heady' over-powering musky quality that many men's toiletries do. In actual fact, I find that the fragrance is quite sweet and ever so slightly fruity, and this combination makes it feel like quite a refreshing product to use. I do think that the fragrance is probably better suited to men rather than women for the most part but I really like the scent and I find that the fragrance lingers on my skin for a very short time after I have used the product, but it is not particularly noticeable and is only really evident for a short while before it disappears.
The Adidas Pure Game shower gel foams lightly on my skin to form a gentle lather, and this increases when it is used with a bath 'scrunchie'. I must confess that the lather is not particularly luxurious or overly thick or foamy, but this is to be expected with a product that has been designed for men, in my opinion, and it is not something that would deter me from using it. If your personal preference is to use a shower gel product that creates a luxurious lather or has a feminine, girly scent then this product is obviously not going to suit you at all. For myself however, I enjoy trying out new products and have no problem with using more masculine shower or bath products, often preferring the musky, woody scents to fragrances which have been designed for woman which don't always appeal to me too much as they are often very sweet, or very floral.... Or both!
I didn't find the Pure Game shower gel to be at all moisturising or particularly 'caring' towards my skin. It didn't dry my skin out at all, or cause any aggravation to my eczema or anything of the sort, but there was nothing particularly 'beneficial' about choosing to use this product over another one. This is exactly what I expected to be the case however, such is my experience of using men's' toiletries, so I wasn't at all surprised or particularly disappointed!
I have found that the Adidas Pure Game shower gel is a rather pleasant product to use, and one that I would buy again if it caught my eye. I wouldn't go so far as to say it is the best product I have ever used, but I liked the refreshing fragrance and thought that the product was of a fairly high quality, with no negative points to report.
I have seen a range of toiletries from the Adidas range in drugstores such as Savers. The Pure Game shower gel can also be purchased in Boots, for under £2. There are some matching products available to buy such as a Body Spray and an Eau de Toilette, both of which can be purchased in Asda.
