Review of Apple Blossom Bath and Shower Gel I have recently had a big decluttering session in my home. Part of my efforts involved pulling everything out of the cupboard of the large vanity unit in my bathroom. This unit is around 5 feet wide by 3 feet deep with a wash basin set into the top. The cupboard is a marvellous storage area, but unfortunately things tend to get pushed to the back and forgotten. As a result my decluttering has revealed several products which I'm now enjoying re visiting! This bath and shower gel was among my discoveries; it was part of a gift set which I believe was received as a birthday gift a couple of years ago. **The Bath and Shower Gel** This bath and shower gel is very prettily packaged in a tall pink plastic container. The gel is accessed by means of a flip up lid which is easy to open and the gel pours out well. It is a fairly thick gel which is a slightly peculiar colour, a sort of pale pink/ beige shade. The bottle contains 200ml of gel. There is no hanging hook on the bottle; however it does have a wide, flat base which makes it stand securely on the little shelf in my shower cubicle. The beauty of this gel is the fragrance, it is absolutely gorgeous! The packaging tells me that the scent is an exquisite blend of apple-blossom, lily, jasmine, mandarin, rose, patchouli, oak moss, and sandalwood. I used to use Apple Blossom in my teens, I used to adore the scent, as it was a light, refreshing blend of florals, ideal for day wear. The Bath and Shower gel fragrance is just as good as I remember the perfume being and I have really enjoyed rediscovering this fragrance. Apple Blossom was first produced by the Helena Rubinstein fragrance house , however in 1988, the Apple Blossom range was taken over by Kent Cosmetics. I must stress here that my review will focus on using this as a shower gel, I have not used the product as a bath gel. I do not have a bath in my home; we only have a shower cubicle, so naturally I cannot comment on the product when used in the bath. I use a shower puff these days, I find in my very hard water area this helps products to lather and makes them last longer. I find just a small amount of this on my shower produces a wonderfully fragrant rich lather which cleanses my skin gently. The product rinses off easily and the scent remains on my skin for a several hours, which I think is excellent from a shower gel! I also received a body lotion and dusting powder from the same range in my set and I do own an Eau de toilette spray of the fragrance, so can I layer the fragrance for a longer lasting effect. The gel is not particularly moisturising in my opinion although it does not dry my skin out, but a body lotion is definitely required by my dry, mature skin after use. **My Thoughts and conclusion** Naturally, everyone's skin is different so what works for me may not suit someone else, but I have found this Bath and shower Gel a luxurious, effective product. I love the scent, it is a light floral, but I find the patchouli and sandalwood elements give a long lasting, deep fragrance which suit me and my tastes. As this gift set was a present I do not know how much it cost originally, but I have had a quick look on the internet and found a similar gift set costs around £20-£25 from Amazon. I would recommend this Bath and Shower gel to others, it is a lovely fragranced shower gel which looks and smells really feminine. I am awarding this product a 5* rating.
