“ Brand: Arora / Bath / Type: Bath Cream / Subcategory: Bath Cream / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
Last Christmas I received several Arora Products from Superdrug including their Bath Shimmer, the one I got was coconut crème but they are available in several fragrances, I was bought coconut to go with a body butter in the same range.
The Bath Shimmer comes in a clear plastic bottle allowing you to see the pearly/shimmery white lotion inside, I like clear bottles so you always know how much is left. The lid is a flip top lid which to be honest is quite hard to open with dry hands never mind wet hands in the shower, some people may struggle with this top.
The bottle is an oval shape and looks quite elegant, there is very little on the front of the bottle just the name Arora along with the fragrance coconut crème and the words Bath Shimmer. The back of the bottle is plain, there are no directions for use or ingredients which I find slightly strange.
So far the other products I've tried in this range have fallen down badly when it came to the fragrance so I wasn't holding out a lot of hope for this one. When I opened the Bath Shimmer and it a good sniff I was right not to be expecting too much, there is a faint synthetic coconut smell, nothing like the sweet creamy coconut fragrance you would expect from a product of this type.
The is a nice consistency, slightly more of a lotion than a gel but perfectly alright to use on a body puff or sponge. I personally use a body puff and I found the Bath Shimmer stayed on there without running off before I could use it.
Arora Bath Shimmer works perfectly well, it creates a decent amount of nice rich lather which left me feeling clean and fresh, it rinsed away cleanly and easily too. As I have already mentioned the fragrance of this isn't that brilliant and it certainly didn't linger on my skin after I had bathed and dried which I was pleased about.
I cant say my skin felt particularly moisturised after using this but it didn't feel dried out either, the bath shimmer doesn't claim to be suitable for sensitive skin and although I am a bit sensitive to things sometimes I had no problems using this.
All in all this is an OK product the packaging is plain but stylish and the Bath Shimmer does what its supposed to do the only problem is the fragrance and this seems to be the case with all of the Arora products I've tried. I will use the Bath Shimmer up as I hate waste and the smell doesn't linger on my skin after using it but I wont be replacing it when I've used it all up.
As I mentioned the Arora range can be bought in Superdrug or online at www.superdrug.com, the Coconut Crème costs £3.99 for a 400ml bottle and at the moment they are 2 for £5.00.
