Not for me this basic and cheap shower gel

I don't buy shower gel products very often at all due to not having a shower in my flat and only having a bath though from time to time I will buy them to either use in my friends shower as I occasionally treat myself to a shower there or to use in my bath, I find that it doesn't really matter all that much really!

I bought this a while back in my local Asda store simply as it was on offer at 49p a bottle rather than being sold at its usual price of 99p and having an eye for a bargain I couldn't resist giving it a go.

      The Packaging:

The bottle of this is plastic and sort of white in colour, frosted with a matching flip-top cap/lid to the top of it concealing a small hole and then in the front of it in pink and purple writing we are told that it is Asda Essentials Reviving Thyme Shower Gel and then on the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, we are told how to use it (? Lol), the ingredients are listed, the size is stated which is 500ml and the only size I have ever seen this to purchase in by the way, we are told that it is suitable for Vegetarians and to use it up within 24 months of opening it and contact details for Asda are of course given. This is a very simple to look at bottle and is rather cheap looking however it is functional and informative as it needs to be just not all that attractive and rather basic looking!

      The Shower Gel Itself:

Well this is a very runny lilac and transparent liquid. It has a sweet but still natural smell of Thyme to it and is a bit smelling of like a lavender to me really, whatever the fragrance it seems a natural one to me and is very unisex indeed which makes me think this is one you can simply pop in your bathroom for family use really.

It lathers up ok, not amazingly well and I do find I need to use a lot of this to get a white, soapy lather going on but that's due to the initial consistency of this obviously. The scent isn't overpowering or strong and providing I use plenty of this I can shave my bits and bobs too with no really problems.

This isn't a skin drying out product but it isn't really a moisturising one either. When I am using this it doesn't feel at all luxurious but then it is a cheap product to purchase even at full price and it is what it is and that's simple a body wash that does the job well enough and leaves me feeling clean.

This leaves me feeling cleansed, the scent doesn't linger on the skin very long at all sadly and for a quid a bottle its simply an ok product that is effective enough though runs out fast due to the amount you need to use. Not one I'd buy again though there is nothing exactly wrong with it, I can just buy better in the likes of a Pound shop and I'd rather do that!

      Available from Asda stores.
