Advantages: Erm?
Disadvantages: Horrible,cheap and nasty stuff
When it comes to toiletry buying I usually pop into Boots and the likes and buy branded ones and its rare I buy a shops own brand as I find that many branded goods we are aware of are so often on offer and I barely save anything at the checkout. However the other day I spotted this shower gel whilst doing my usual shop in Asda and this was reduced from £1.00 a bottle to 40p and I actually bought a couple of bottles, one for me and one to give me mum when she visits next week!
The Packaging:
This comes in only one size and is a 500ml size. The bottle is plastic, slightly frosted white but see through with a flip top lid to the top of it concealing a small hole. On the front of the bottle we are simply told that it is Asda Essentials Zingy Lemon Shower Gel and then on the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, the ingredients are listed and we're told that this is suitable for Vegetarians to use, to use it up within 24 months of opening it, the size is stated (as I have listed already) and contact details for Asda are given. Nice enough and robust plain bottle this is which is informative enough and very unisex in its appearance.
The Shower GelItself:
The liquid is rather runny, bright yellow and transparent and has a rather fake almost washing up fragrance of fake lemons to it. It really does remind me of washing up gel and the consistency is really, really runny.
You need to use quite a lot of this to get any lather going on at all and the fragrance, even though its pretty awful is very apparent but so fake!
It rinses off easily enough but because of lack of lather I find it hard to shave my bits and bobs with this and that I dont feel very clean really afterwards either. The only benefits with this is that it doesn't agitate my sensitive skin at all and thankfully the fragrance doesn't linger on me once I'm dried but all in all this is a very cheap feeling and smelling shower gel that I now understand as to why it only cost me 40p!
I'd rather wash myself in Fairy liquid Asda!
Only available in Asda stores.
Summary: TerribleI hate it!
