clean smelling, great on spots, and all the family loves it

this is loved by my husband and me.. especially for back srubbing to help prevent spots.
the t tree is stong smelling in this item, so i was a little worried about using it all over inthe shower. but.. on trying it, ive had no problems, and i have sensitive skin
this is especially good after gardening, or playing sport, as you really do feel clean and fresh after a shower with this shower gel
even the bathroom smells clean and fresh with the lovely lingering smell f t-tree
it foams well when used with a shower scrunchie.. so although not a bargain when it comes to shower gel.. its worth it for clean skin, and a prevention for spot prone areas
the men love it, as well as the women.. a good all rounder for the family bath room
and girlies.. have no concern about using this in sensitive areas .. its caused me no problems at all :-)

      A great body wash

      Australian Body Care Body Wash

In my local bargain shop, more commonly known as Ethel Austin, I recently picked up a couple of these products, mainly because they had been reduced to the princely sum of £1 each, and because I always like to have a go with new products. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and at that price, I had more to gain than to lose.

I did do a little bit of research about the company, because I had never heard of it before, and discovered that it’s products are inspired by the traditions of the Aborigines. They apparently discovered the curative effects of using natural ingredients for hair and body care, and this company makes full use of this knowledge.

      ~~*~~ THE PROMISE~~*~~

The body wash promises to contain 2% Tea Tree oil, which to me doesn’t sound a lot, but if they use it a selling point, then it must be a “good thing”. It promises to cleanse without drying and to be pH balanced (skin friendly). As well as, or because of this, it will maintain your skin’s natural moisture balance, and reduce the risk of flare ups (I assume of skin disorders) and infections.

      ~~*~~ THE PRODUCT~~*~~

The product itself comes in a terracotta coloured squeezy tube containing 200ml of the body wash, and having a rather nice motif on the front. The lid flips up to open, and to close it, should be pressed firmly down.

Give the tube a squeeze, and a clear gel like product comes out, with a quite strong tea tree oil smell. Steer clear if you don’t like tea tree oil because it is quite obvious.

      ~~*~~USING IT~~*~~

There are no instructions, so using my common sense, I decided that it could be used in the bath or shower.

In the bath, I have poured it under running water, and the result has been a rather healthy amount of bubbles, and a faintly antiseptic tea tree oil smell; I always think tea tree oil smells like antiseptic, probably because I associate it with spot treatment!

In the shower, add a small amount (a little goes a long way) to a sponge, and wash.

Having bought it from Ethel Austin, I have no idea whether chemists and supermarkets sell it. However, all the products are available to buy on the website, www.australian-bodycare.com. Included on the website is also lots of information about the other products and the ethos behind the company.

To buy on the website, the RRP is £7.50, which for a body wash I think is a tad steep.

      ~~OTHER PRODUCTS~~*~~

      Hair wash (Intensive and everyday)
      Face Wash
      Body Lotion
      On The Spot Stick
      Intensive Skin Cream.

Having read a bit of the blurb, I think they go heavy on the tea tree oil.

      ~~*~~WHAT I THINK OF IT~~*~~

As a body wash, and because I like the fresh and rather sterile smell of tea tree oil, I do like the product, although I don’t think I would like it quite as much had I paid the RRP.

The wash provides a satisfying amount of bubbles, and after bathing in it, my skin does feel very clean, and refreshed. It has not dried out my skin at all, and having given it to himself to use (he has dry skin), he reports that all seems well with the stuff. In fact, it not being floral smelling, It’s probably quite a good “his and hers” body wash.

I like the idea that it has not been tested on animals, and uses only natural ingredients, and being a believer in advertising, feel that my skin is being rebalanced naturally.

If you can pick this up at a bargain price, and like the smell of tea tree oil, then I would recommend you do so. Not only will you be getting a bargain, but also a great product which shouldn’t harm your skin. I’m now especially pleased I bought 5 tubes of the stuff!

      Thanks for reading.

      Daniela x
