The bubble bath itself is purple in colour and has a nice thick consistancy to it and is avalible to buy from your local avon rep or avon online.
You can purchase this bubble bath in a 500ml bottle for £4.00 or in a 1litre bottle for £5.00
***WHY I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT***
I am a big fan of avon products and before christmas they had a selection of toiletries on offer, this was 3 items for £5.00.
I seen that they had their bubble baths on offer ( 500ml bottles ) and noticed that one of the scents was lavender, as i quite often have problems relaxing once all the kids are asleep and trouble sleeping i decided to purchase, 3 bubble baths, one of them being this one.
***MY OVERALL OPINION***
I have to say that I'm pleased with the bubble bath itself, it has a good consistency to it and you only need a little to make plenty of bubbles, These bubbles last whilst your in the bath, the lavender scent is also just right, Not to strong.
I find that this bubble bath does last well and I still have just under half a bottle left, and have had 7 or 8 baths so far.
What puts me of the product a little is the price as to me £4 for a 500ml bottle is expensive, especially when you can buy well known brands for just £1, and the packaging is quite plain and boring.
This won't stop me from purchasing it again, Although i will only do so when on offer again.
Because this is so expensive to buy when on offer and the plain packaging makes it look cheap I will knock of a star
I used to be an Avon rep and these bubbles baths were always very popular, I always took the opportunity to have a little sniff of the customers orders to see which ones I would like.
There is a great range of fragrances in the range and they come in two different sizes a 500ml and a litre bottle. The 500ml at full price is £4 and the litre bottle is £5 so the bigger one is much better value and there are often offers on such as buy the smaller bottle and get a bigger one free so of course I only buy these when they on offer.
I never actually smelt this one before buying it as I bought them pn 4 for £5 which was a fantastic offer so I just choose this one to make up the numbers and I think I would say this one is my least favourite.
The bubble bath came packaged in a purple plastic bottle which has straight sides at some points and hen loads of little semi circle shapes down some parts making it feel bumpy when you run your hand down. The bottle of course has the name of the fragrance and the company on the front and a list of ingredients on the back.
The liquid inside the bottle is quite heavily scented with lavender and I found the smell a little too strong personally. The liquid is pretty thick and when poured under running water produces plenty of bubbles, as it is so thick you really don't need much for each bath making it good value for money.
The bubbles last nicely from this foam and there are still some left in the bath after letting the water out. I found that this bath foam wasn't really very moisturising and found that there was no difference in my skin after my bath than as before the bath which was disappointing. The smell lasts for ages and even hours after the bath you can still faintly smell it in the bathroom which would be nice if I liked the scent.
I am only giving this one 3 stars as I don't like the smell and I don't think it does anything for my skin although it is great value especially when on offers and it is a thick and luxurious product.
Me and my mum both get Avon regularly as our friend is an Avon rep, so mum always gets their bubble baths because they are soooo big they last until the next order/book comes through!
Like I said these bottles are enormous, they literally last forever especially when used sparingly. However with this particular one, smells absolutely amazing! When you first smell a bubble bath, it's easy to say it smells good but this doesn't mean it's going to smell nice in your bath. But this smells soooo strongly of Lavender when you smell it before you put it in, you know it's going to be good.
I love putting this one in my bath, it smells so beautiful and the smell even leaves your skin smelling slightly lavender-like which is amazing!
Of course with a bubble bath you expect it to bubble up and this one does really well! Seriously if you put too much in the bubbles go EVERYWHERE (I know this from experience, oops!)
Overall this is a lovely bubble bath that I would recommend, especially in this scent, it's so strong that it lasts and smells like your in a spa or something!
A couple of months ago I placed a large Avon order with my mother who is an Avon rep, as she'd let me stay with her for several weeks and refused to take any cash for it. To be honest, I didn't particularly want nor need this product, I was just trying to bulk out the order and the bubble baths were on special offer at 3 for £5.
I normally avoid lavender products as I'm not a big fan of lavender in general, but at the time of ordering I was having problems sleeping and lavender is supposed to be great for relaxing and promoting sleep.
The bubble bath comes in what I feel is rather cheap looking packaging. A clear bottle with a sort of ribbed appearance and the word 'lavender' written along the front in purple. On the plus side the bottle is rather sturdy, but I do feel it looks rather 'budget' if you know what I mean.
This is the second of the three bubble baths I tried, the first being the Strawberry Sorbet variety. The first thing I noticed about this one, is that it seems to have a slightly thicker consistency than Strawberry Sorbet did, but not so thick it didn't run out of the bottle.
The liquid bubbled up really quickly and I found that I could get a bath full of bubbles from only a relatively small quantity of product, which has meant that my bottle has lasted absolutely weeks despite the fact there have been two of using it regularly.
The most important factor in a bubble bath, for me personally, is scent and that is one area that this product really fell down. The scent to me is not particularly 'lavendery' to me - there is a very vague lavender fragrance to it, but unfortunately the overall scent to me, smells like furniture polish. My fiancé, who also uses the product says he likes it, but I can't get away from thinking of Pledge every time I use it. Don't get me wrong, I do actually like the smell of polish, I just don't want to bathe in it!
I have found that the bubbles tend to last right until the end of my bath (and I'm a soaker, so stay in there for ages!) which is one positive thing about the product. Unfortunately though, I have found that if I stay in the bath for long periods of time this product seems to dry my skin out quite a lot. As I have dry skin anyway, this is certainly not a good thing and rather disappointing. Shorter baths don't seem to have this effect on me though, so I have continued to use the product when I am just having a quick dip in the bath. After use, I don't notice any trace of fragrance on my skin but it does linger in the bathroom for a while...which at least makes it smell clean with the polish smell!
This bubble bath is available in either a 500ml size (which I have) or a 1 litre size. The 500ml version costs £4 and the litre version £5. Both sizes are frequently on special offer and I certainly don't feel they are worth the full price, so I would strongly suggest looking out for deals.
Overall, I found this product very disappointing. The lavender fragrance was not really very much like lavender, it was drying to my skin and the packaging looks naff too. I wouldn't really recommend this and would suggest if you are looking for a new bubble bath to either try a different fragrance or look at Avon's Senses or Naturals range, both of which are much better quality.
