Advantages: Smells lovely, forever on offer, bottle lasts ages
Disadvantages: Smell doesn't last on skin
As any of you that have been reading my reviews by now will know I used to be an Avon rep and I try to never pay full price for items. When Avon were reinventing their Senses range the representive catalogue gave us all an offer to get the large size senses shower gel for £1 each, me being me I think I bought four different ones!
The senses shower gels come in two different sizes 250ml and 500ml, the 500ml is always the better value although you can sometimes find offers like you buy the big one and get a smaller one for free. The 250ml bottle is usually £2 and the 500ml bottle is usually £3, unless you want alot it isn't worth ordering them from the internet shop though as the postage is £3.50. If you like these products time it right and you should never have to pay full price as they come on offer every couple of brochures.
I love all the bright colours and smells of the senses range and the Lagoon option is no different, it comes in a clear sleek bottle so yhou can see the turquoise shower gel inside. On the front of the bottle is a fantastic picture of under the sea with a couple of fish and plant life but all in hues of turquoise so very striking and attention grabbing, on the back of the bottle the directions for use, lather and rinse, the ingredients, Avons address and the 12 month shelf life sign.
The product inside is dispensed through the turquoise flip top lid which opens from the side and reveals a largish hole in the top, the smell to me is the sea with a fruity twist which I really like. The liquid is nice and thick so you don't need to use much and it does lather up well.
So my only gripes with the product, the smell doesn't last on your body much after getting dry although I do find the smell quite awakening whilst in the shower and the flip top lid is held by 3 small pieces of plastic and one of mine has snapped and one is nearly snapped and this is just from everyday use.
So would I recommend it, it really depends on you, in the shower it is lovely and my skin is soft with using it but if you like a shower gel that you can smell on your skin afterwards then no, generally I would recommend it it's good value and lasts ages.
Summary: Nice shower gel but could smell a little stronger
