“ Brand: Avon / Type: Shower Gel / Suitable for: Body / What it does: destresses, „
I have written before about how much I like the Avon senses range. One shower gel that I tried in one of the recent brochures - campaign 16 was the Avon senses 'lazy daze' shower gel as it was on special offer and only cost 99 pence for the bottle.
I was pleased at this special offer because I thought the bottle was a great size and it is 250ml so lasted quite a long time.
When the bottle arrived from Avon I was pleased as it looked to be quite nice looking and attractive. The bottle is a purple or lilac colour and has a plastic lid in the same colour. The plastic lid can be flipped up and underneath this is a hole which the shower gel can be squirted out from.
There is a nice label on the front of the bottle which has a sunset picture and a hammock. It looks to be a nice relaxing shower gel to use going by the packaging and the impression it gives me.
I thought the shower gel was very nice to use on my skin as it soaped up nicely with the use of hot water in the shower and this left a nice foam of soap suds on my skin. The suds were not difficult to rinse off.
I thought that the fragrance of the shower gel was really very nice and pleasant and it smells quite musky and girly so I would not think this is a suitable shower gel for males as well as females. The scent is a nice flowery scent but is not over strong or too over powering and it is a very nice smell.
The shower gel makes my skin feel nice and soft and I think the smell of the shower gel lasts nicely on my skin after I have had my shower.
The lazy daze shower gel was not available to buy in my most recent Avon brochure so I am hoping it has not been stopped by Avon as I really liked the product and would buy it again in the future.
The usual price for the 250ml bottle of shower gel is £2 and even this is good value as it is a good size of bottle and it lasted me around a month so I would not hesitate to buy it at this price.
I would recommend the Avon senses Lazy Daze shower gel as it has a lovely fragrance and it feels nice to use and is good value. Give it a try!
Why I bought this product?
To be honest I brought this shower gel because I run out. When I was ordering my customers products which they wanting to purchase I thought it a great idea to order this one to save me going out to the shops any buying one.
What does this product promise?
It is a pH balanced shower gel with its uplifting fragrance. It leaves skin feeling moistured and nourished.
Where can I get this product?
You can buy this product from your local AVON representive or log online to the AVON website to order.
At the moment to are getting for £1.20 this does occasionally come in the sale and sell for around £1 but usual price is £3.
I would advice that if you do have an AVON rep to ask them if they could check there other brochure e.g. the one before or after the book they have given you and ask if they could order the cheapest for you. If like me you're representive would want to get their customers the best price for the product. Ask nicely and you could bag yourself a bargain.
Description of the product:
This product comes in a plastic see through oval shaped container with a plastic lid. A sticker is on the front advertising the shower gel. I have to be honest if I was in a shop and I was looking for this, this product would defiantly catch my eye never mind the fantastic price that it is selling for.
Buying through AVON is a cheap and easy way for buying things. However if you are wanting something quickly then it's not right for you to buy from them.
I like this product it smells fantastic, moistures my skin and also lathers up quite well to make it spread all over your body to clean all of you. I was pleasantly surprise with this product as I thought it might be a bit nasty but was perfectly worth every penny for it 250ml liquid. I would recommend this product 9/10.
If you have already purchased this product and you do not like you can ask you're representive to send it back even if it has been opened. You will be fully refunded as long as it is under 30 days since you ordered it.
There are many different sizes, prices, and fragrances to match this wonderful shower gel. I think it is great as there are many different colours to help you to pick so you can match with the decor of your bathroom. Here are some of the products that I have found:
Tropics ~ yellow
Sunset ~ light orange
Lagoon ~ minty green
Reflection ~ purple
Orient ~ dark orange
Mystique ~ red
Amazon ~ dark green (especially designed for men)
Beach party ~ lighter green
Water babe ~ light blue
Sun goddess ~ light orange
Lazy daze ~ purple
Hope my review was helpful to all those that are interested and those that read my review. Thank you.
A friend at work as started doing Avon so here was my chance to try some new shower gels.
I found it hard to decide which ones to go for, as nowhere could I see in the brochure what the scent would be so it was going to be a bit hit or miss as to what these might smell like.
Lazy Daze was described as being relaxing and serene so I thought I'd give that a go, perhaps it would have a lavender scent.
It comes in a 250ml clear plastic bottle, which is recyclable. The lid is a pale pink in colour and has a plastic flip top, which I find, doesn't reclose very well. The contents of the gel are a pink/purple colour and is quite thick in consistency.
Looking at the ingredients I'm still none the wiser as to what 'flavour' it is. On smelling it I'm still not sure.
So I've had to do some more research and I've gone to Avon's website where it tells me that it is lilac and vanilla. The scents are not that strong but perhaps I can smell a hint of vanilla but its certainly not overpowering. Definitely a woman's shower gel, far to girlie for the men!!
As far as shower gel goes its OK. It lathers up OK, not as well as the creams but it left my skin clean and fresh.
At the moment this cost just £1, which I think, is good value for money. There are lots of other scents to try but I think I'll give this one a miss next time.
Lazy Days is my fave shower gel from the Senses range because it smells nice and girly and is perfect for my morning shower because it's so relaxing and it helps me ease my way into the day!
Its one of the special edition summer shower gels and is one of the best Senses have ever done. I never thought I'd like it when my mum first brought it because the bottle reminded me of lavender and even though I like the smell of lavender I don't like it in shower gels.
It doesn't lather up that well but I don't think these shower gels are very good for bubbles anyway so that doesn't bother me. The shower gel is a bit thin so you have to get ready to have a wash as soon as you squeeze it onto the scrunchie because it will run off quick.
The smell is wicked. It's light and a bit flowery. It's supposed to be lilac and vanilla and even though I can't smell the vanilla it makes it smell sweet and proper girly. The flowery smell is nice because it's not too strong and sort of dances on top of the sweet smell. Its a bit like talcum powder and I saw in a review that someone thought it smelled like baby powder but I think it's a bit more grown up and the sort of powder a young teen would wear.
My skin was soft after my shower and felt a bit more moisturised than usual. Its not a madly moisturising shower gel but again none of the Senses shower gels are that good at moisturising so I don't mind that because I like the smell of this one so much.
This one doesn't feel sticky like the Sunset one did and rinses off quicker. You can buy the Senses shower gels for about £1.00 because they are always on special offer in the books, I hope they keep this one because it's the best out of all of them and I'd love to see them do a handwash with the same smell.
Any regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I work as an Avon representative when my poor health allows, and have been for a number of years now.
I regularly look out for bargains and new products in the Avon brochure. One Avon range in particular that seems to have regular bargains within it is the 'Avon Senses' range, and therefore I am often able to buy myself a little treat from this range.
The Senses range covers a variety of products such as liquid soap and shower gel. I like how Avon have produced many of these shower gels with a liquid soap available to buy in the same scent, so that I can choose to use matching products if I prefer.
Within the Senses range there have recently been a few additional shower gels added into the mix, although unfortunately these new scented shower gels have not yet had soaps produced to match their scents. Said new shower gels are part of the 'Senses summer collection' and I therefore wonder whether they will be available to buy long term or whether they are simply one of Avon's passing phases. It would be a bit of a shame if the latter were true because I have tried a few of the new shower gels now and am quite impressed with them!
The shower gel I have just recently finished is called 'lazy daze' and I got it on offer in a recent brochure for the sum of 99 pence. Considering this price is for a 250ml bottle, I thought it offered quite good value for money.
Supplied in a plastic bottle with a plastic purple-coloured cap on top, the plastic lid on the bottle has a 'flip up' cap which is quite good at preventing spillages and waste of the shower gel.
The picture on the label to the front of the bottle shows a rather idyllic scene - lots of sunsets and hammocks on beaches! The label also says 'relaxing and serene' under the 'Lazy daze' name. All in all the impression I get from the packaging is that I will be somewhat relaxed after using this shower gel.
The reverse of the packaging informs me "Comfort your senses with this relaxing fragrance", which confirms my initial first impressions perhaps!
The fragranced shower gel is quite yummy to use, particularly at night time. I think this is because the scent is quite a 'light' one, and it is not too overly-perfumed. The fragrance actually puts me in mind of a baby talcum powder with a kind of floral undertone to it. Overall I thought that the fragrance is delicious, although I would probably say it is quite a feminine scent - I couldn't see my other half using this!
I have found that the gel is quite thick in consistency - It is obviously another good quality product from Avon, and I personally prefer thick shower gels. I find there is nothing worse than watery gels that seem to slip right off of my cloth or bath scrunchie before I have even started using the gel!
The gel lathers up quite nicely and provides a little portion of frothy bubbles for me to cleanse myself. I was quite impressed with the feeling of the gel when using it on my skin, and was also pleased at the feeling of this product - I again got the impression that it was of quite a high quality.
I was also impressed with how it made my skin feel fairly soft when I got out of the shower - not every shower gel achieves this effect on my skin, believe me! There was no irritation to my sensitive skin, which is another plus-point for me personally.
I did find that the fragrance from the shower gel didn't last on my skin for any significant period of time after my shower. That said though, I found that I preferred to use this shower gel at night time (or I would sometimes use it in the bath at night time) and I did find that it was a really pleasant scent to use at this time in the day as this is when I like to try and unwind a bit... I would certainly agree with the marketing for this product in terms of the 'relaxing and serene' statement on the front of the bottle.
The normal price of the shower gel is £2, but there are regular offers within the Senses range, so you might manage to pick this up for a little les.
The Senses shower gels are available to buy from your Avon Representative, or you can purchase online from www.avonshop.co.uk.
I would award this shower gel full marks! I did find this was a great addition to the rest of the Senses range and I intend to stock up on these "Summer Collection" shower gels just in case they ARE a temporary addition to the Senses range - I really don't want to miss out!
Another one of the new Shower Gels from Avon, and another nice light one.
This range has only been out for a couple of books and has been on offer for 99p for the 250ml bottle, instead of the rrp of £2. I've bought all of the 4 of them to try, as why not at that price!
The packaging isn't that exciting, and I always think that the Bottles in the Avon range look a bit cheao. They are cheap I guess, and who cares when it is just in my bathroom for me to see in the shower? The Bottle is see through and you can see the light lilac coloured gel through the Bottle. There is a stick on labe on the front and back. The back label just gives you instructions for use in a good few languages - lather on wet body and rinse ok got that! The front has a picture of a lovely sunset in purples and pinks and a hammock. It says this is the Summer Collection, so guess this will only be available for a few months. The lid on this is a flip top lid.
The gel is quite runny, but thick enough so if you squirt a decent amount onto a Shower Puff or Sponge then it lathers up well enough.
I really struggled with what this smelt like, as it was familiar, but I wasn't sure what, but now I have figured out - It smells like Baby Powder! It is a nice soft, warm scent that does smell like Baby Powder. The scent lingers on your skin ever so lightly and this will freshen you up, moisturise and make you smell lovely.
One of my favourite in the new range. None of them have heavy scents to them, and perhaps that is why they have been marketed as a Summer Scent.
I recommend you try this, and in the current book if you buy anything from the Senses range you choose a bottle from the Summer Collection free!
