“ Brand: Avon / Type: Shower Gel / Suitable for: Body / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
My mum bought me this as part of my stocking fillers for Christmas last year, and I instantly went to buy more after it had ran out.
The smell is very fragrant and quite citrus-y, which is lovely to use on a summers day or to brighten up the terrible winter.
The bottle is tall and you get a lot in it for the price. The push up top makes it very easy to use in the shower, more like a clip than a lid. And the material is just soft enough to be able to squeeze without effort and with wet hands. Thumbs up here!
It also lathers really well, you don't need a huge amount for a whole body wash. The bubbles are quite delicate and don't leave a soapy residue when you smooth and lather it on your body. The consistency is a bit thinner than many of the top brands, but I like that, I think it is this that makes there be less residue afterwards.
Depending on the size of the bottle, you are only looking at between £1-£2, which you really can't complain about seeing as the £1.50 size bottle is so big it will last you for months even as your primary body wash!
This avon shower gel is part of there summer colection of shower gels so has been on offer at 99p a bottle for the last couple of brochers along with the others in the range so i thought i would give them a try.
The shower gel comes in a tall, thin see through bottle which is ideal for being able to see how much of the shower gel is left, the lid is a flip top lid, it doesnt have a bung in it to stop it leaking out if knocked over like more expensive brands do but does the job it is intended for.
The bottle needs to be used up in 12 months of opening so has a very long life span concidering how often it will be used.
It is described on the bottle as being warm and radiant but doesnt give any details of what the smell is other than stating it is parfum so from this i imagine it doesnt contain any natural scents and are all artificial.
I struggle to tell what smells are but this to me has a sweet citrus smell to it like satsumas. It is a nice strong smell but not over powering and doesnt realy linger on your skin after washing for very long.
It is a nice shower gel and does the job it is intended to, gets you cleam, smells lovely and lathers up well but my only dislike is how watery it is.
This is the last in the 4 New Summer Collection Shower Gels from Avon that I am reviewing. They only came out a couple of books ago and have been selling for 99p for a 250ml bottle instead of the £2 rrp. I bought 1 of each of them, as I like Shower Gel from Avon and also i couldn't argue with the price. To be honest in the book it didn't tell you about the smell of them, so I was unsure of what it would smell like.
The Bottle design isn't that exciting. THey look a bit plain, but I don't much care about the bottle, just what's inside it anyway. It is a see through plastic bottle and you can see the medium-darker Orange liquid through the bottle. There is a stick on label on the front with a picture of a nice sunset and beach view on it, and on the back label it has how to use the product in a few different languages. There is a flip top plastic lid on the bottle and it is easy to squirt out.
The gel is quite thick, and a little onto a sponge or shower puff goes a long way.
Now to the scent of this. This one I felt was stronger than the others in the range. I liked the other ones for their light hint of a fragrance. This one smelt like Hot Sunshine on a balmy day mixed in with oranges. I think it had a slight Musky scent along with the Citrus scent. it was nice enough, but I just preferred the other ones as they were more my scent. This lingered on my skin well enough, and died down a bit after I dried myself.
A nice enough scent, quite close to the Avon Sunset Shower Gel, but at a better price just now. Give the range a try while they are still about and on offer.
