For Christmas, from my other half’s parents I got a Baylis and Harding gift set containing a body polisher sponge, bath milk, body butter and this steam shower body cleanser.
~ Packaging ~
The cleanser comes in a large white bottle with a white sticker around it with black leaf patterns on it.
~ In use ~
The scent of this is gorgeous. It has a strong scent of rose, which is enhanced by the other floral notes. I absolutely love the smell.
I expected this to be a normal shower gel despite its strange choice of wording, ‘steam shower body cleanser’. I was surprised by the texture of the product.
After removing the screw cap lid I tipped the product onto my hand. It comes out of the bottle in dollops of a thick clear gel. It is not as thin or runny as regular shower gel. It has more of a gel-like texture similar to that of hair gel.
The scent is quite strong and really pleasant.
The gel takes a while to lather up, but it smells gorgeous and leaves my skin feel clean, fresh and moisturised. The scent does linger on my skin for a little while after using this product as well, which is a bonus.
I find this a really luxurious shower product and ended up savouring every dollop!
I would definitely buy this product again. I think it is a fantastic shower gel – the most luxurious I can ever recall using and the scent is divine!
Looking on the Baylis and Harding website it seems that this is now available in a bottle with a pump dispenser, which I find quite disappointing as I liked using this product from the bottle and I can’t imagine the product being as thick coming out of a pump dispenser, although it could save waste if you tip too much out of the bottle.
~ Price and availability ~
I have looked for, but never found this range in the shops, although I have seen plenty of other Baylis and Harding products.
This steam shower body cleanser (with a pump dispenser) is available on www.baylisandharding.com for just £3.00 for a 500ml bottle. Delivery costs go on weight, but 1-15kg cost £4.99, which I think seems fair.
The gift set that I received is available on amazon.co.uk which comes with the cleanser in screw cap bottle form rather than with a pump dispenser. The gift set costs £24.99 on Amazon, which seems expensive as the Baylis and Harding website sells this cleanser, the body butter and the bath milk for just £3.00 each, which on the other hand seems incredibly cheap.
