I recieved this Biotherm Eau Vitaminee shower gel, along with the matching perfumed body milk and fragrance as a Christmas gift, but I've only just recently got around to using them. I do use quite a lot of Biotherm products, however these were products that I'd not tried before.
Biotherm products are quite expensive, however they do have them in Boots on 3 for 2 occasionally, and they also sell them in most duty free shops. I do normally wait and buy them 3 for 2 in Boots, or duty free when I'm travelling somewhere.
The Biotherm Eau Vitaminee shower gel comes in a 200ml tube. The tube is a neon lime green colour which I think is meant to hint at its citrussy fragrance, and the shower gel itself is a gorgeous flourescent lime green colour. The tube stands on its cap, which I like because it makes it easy to get the last few bits of shower gel out as they will naturally settle at the cap end and so there's no shaking or banging of the bottle, or turning it upside down and waiting ages for the last few bits to drip down to the cap end to enable you to squeeze them out. I like to ensure that I can use every last bit of expensive body products so that I can feel like I'm getting my money's worth! The shower gel is easy to squeeze out of the bottle and it doesn't dispense too much at one time so that you end up using more than you need. The tube opens with a flip top lid rather than a screw off lid which makes it much easier to use in the shower with wet and soapy hands.
The shower gel has a very fresh citrussy and uplifting fragrance. It lingers on your skin all day, especially when layered with both the perfumed body milk and the fragrance. I personally think that this is more of a morning fragrance, it's a real 'wake you up' energising fragrance, and for me it's not really suitable to use in the evenings as it tends to make me too alert and keep me awake! It also feels a very summery fragrance rather than a winter fragrance, and I'm quite glad that it's taken me until now to get around to using the products.
This doesn't feel like a moisturising shower gel, however it doesn't dry my skin out either. I do always follow this with the matching perfumed body milk, but once or twice I have just showered and dressed if I've been running late and my skin hasn't felt dry or taut that day. This leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean, and smelling gorgeous. It actually feels very cooling on my skin. It lathers up really well in the shower and it feels really soothing and refreshing on my skin when I'm rubbing it in. It rinses off easily, and it just leaves behind a gorgeous subtle and refreshing citrussy scent.
I would buy this shower gel again as I've been impressed with it, I'd probably ensure that I also bought the matching products to go along with it as well as I do think that they work best together.
