This little creamer is full of cocoa butter and smells of chocolate orange. On the outside it has bits of chocolate vermicelli stuck into it and these just dissolve as the creamer fizzes away in the bath releasing all its lovely moisturising buttery goodness.
I am not impressed with Bomb Cosmetic bath bombs but I do like their creamers as they leave my skin feeling lovely and soft and moisturised after the bath. This also smells pretty reasonable too when in the bath which can be a fault with Bomb Cosmetics products.
When you pop this in the bath iy gently and slowly fizzes away in the bath. I like the fact it fizzes slowly as I can lie in the bath and enjoy the aroma as it fizzes and also enjoy the buttery goodness melting in the bath.
Sadly while in the bath the butters do gather at the tide line and leava greasy mark. While in the bath I swish the water over the tide line and keep the butters in the bath and wipe it onto my skin.
When I get out and dry myself my skin feels well moisturised and very comfortable. The smell doesn't really linger on my skin much which is a shame in my mind.
The bath however is very greasy and slippery once the water is out. You absolutely have to give the bath a good clean as it would be dangerous not to. this kind of negates the relaxation benefit you had from the bath.
So while I do like these creamers for how they make my skin feel, I am not so thrilled with the greasy after effect in the bath.
I've liked all the Bomb Cosmetics stuff I've used recently, apart from this Chocolate Orange Bath Creamer that I used in the bath last night.
It smells gorgeous and as the little ball fizzes and dissolves in the warm water the smell of chocolate orange comes though nicely and it's actually a lot more authentic than I thought it was going to be.
It took for ages for it to fizz away to nothing and that did my head in because I hated sitting in the bath and having the half dissolved creamer bumping into me! lol It didn't give me any bubbles or anything in the water and I thought that was a bit of a let down because I'm used to Lush products and they always do SOMETHING to the water, either turn it a nice colour or produce lots of bubbles or a nice creamy lather. All this one does is add a pleasant sweet smell.
The water felt a bit softer while I was lying in it but after a bit I noticed that the water was starting to feel a bit greasy and heavy on my skin. I washed myself with my normal bath soap but when I got out of the bath to dry myself my skin was very greasy feeling and also a bit sticky. This lasted overnight and this morning I couldn't stand it anymore and had to have a hot shower to get rid of the horrible feeling.
Even though it was so greasy I don't think it made my skin any softer or smoother at all. I didn't use a body lotion after because I was worried about making the greasy feeling even worse, I think I could have done with a bit of lotion thinking about it though because my skin felt a bit drier than normal when I got up this morning.
I know it's madly greasy because I've just noticed how oily the bottom of the bath looks now all the water has gone and the bath has dried out. I'm proper disappointed actually because this is the first naff Bomb Cosmetics product I've used and it's made me a bit nervous to try any of the others in the bathroom!
One good thing is it looks wicked, just like an oversized sweetie and has been covered in real chocolate sprinkles which release a gorgeous chocolatey smell when I put the creamer into the warm water in the bath.
One of these costs £1.99 but I won't buy this particular product again, still cheaper than Lush though and a lot of the Bomb Cosmetics are at least as good as anything you can buy in Lush.
