“ Brand: Bomb Cosmetics / Foam / Type: Bath Melt/Foam / Subcategory: Foam „
I love having a daily soak in the bath and usually use the Molton Brown products which my lovely eldest daughter buys for me and which she knows I love. However, now we finally have a new bathroom I decided to celebrate by using something different to mark the occasion so I used my first ever bomb last week.
I'd had quite an assortment of 'smellies' for Christmas and chose this Foameo & Juliet from my stash as we'd been to see Gnomio & Juliet at the cinema...
It looks like the picture. weighs 160g and is shaped like a tennis ball and, even before you pop it under running water to release the full fragrance, it smells absolutely lovely. It contains lemongrass and sweet oranges (plus, apparently, quite a few unrecognisable ingredients) but the smell is gorgeous yet not too overpowering.
I ran the bathwater for a couple of minutes and then popped the bomb under running water. It was like a scene from the Dambusters as my bomb made three small jumps down the bath until it settled down and fizzed contentedly releasing the essential oils and perfume not only in the bathroom but permeating much of the rest of the house.
I was just going to use half of the product and save the other bit until next day but decided I did not want to mess up the bathroom (lame excuse I know) but I felt as if I'd had a real treat after I reluctantly climbed out of our lovely-smelling bath. My skin felt lovely and soft and I felt energised, squeaky clean and well refreshed.
I was initially surprised there were no bubbles but the softness of the water and the delightful smell made my bath experience a real pleasure and I would recommend this bomb to anyone who loves to treat themselves.
I have just been looking at their website - www.bombcosmetics.co.uk - and found that Foameo & Juliet is on offer (at 20th Feb) down from £2.49 to £1.79 - ideal for Mother's Day or upcoming birthdays?
To be honest I did not know much about bombcosmetics but having read some more I see they do not test on animals, nor do they buy from companies which do. They try to use re-cyclable packaging and their products do not contain artificial binders such as PVP.
As stated previously I am a bomb virgin so cannot compare it to other bath bombs, but it seems to tick all the boxes as far as I can see and I would definitely recommend trying this or buying for someone who needs cheering up/ pampering etc.
As my love affair with Bomb cosmetics continues and I find more and more products that I become a fan of, it is only right and proper that I share them with you.
As I began to run out of gifts within my Bomb Cosmetics set I decided to treat myself and make an order using the website as previously reviewed on Dooyoo and in order to make my selection worth while I decided to be really brave and try a whole selection of products I hadn't tried before. Usually I would just stick with what I knew and liked rather than experiment with something new.
The first item of choice this time was a Bath Blaster which is named Foameo & Juliet; to be honest it did make me giggle as I popped it into my basket knowing that my items should arrive on Valentines Day it seemed somehow wrong not to select it. Now I did pick some products because of their name and others because of their ingredients. With Foameo & Juliet I selected it both for the name and the ingredients because it contained two items I have never used within any product from places such as Nspa or Lush and because I wanted to see what they were like upon my skin.
Foameo and Juliet as a Bath Blaster is tennis ball shaped with the bottom half being a mixture of white and candy pink colours and the top half is bubbly like a cloud with pink and white stripes running across it. My previous Bath Blaster from Bomb Cosmetics was devoid of any pattern whatsoever but the smell more than made up for the plain design. Foameo and Juliet smells divine, from the minute my package arrived I couldn't wait to try this little beauty out. For reference I paid £2.10 for this 160g product.
SO what made Foameo and Juliet so tempting to try? Well firstly it contains Lemongrass which brings about a lovely lemony smell which is really refreshing and is known for its uplifting qualities and when blended with sweet orange oil continues to promote that feeling of happiness and warmth with the lemongrass both have tangy citrus smells which work and blend well together to smell fantastic and leave you feeling fantastic. There are combinations of other ingredients for this product all of which can be found on the Bomb Cosmetics website.
To use this bath blaster you need to decide firstly whether you want to use it all at once or chop it in half or quarters. If you choose the latter then be warned that it does get messy when you do try to half it and I tend to use a knife and a bowl to saw it in half when I am feeling not as generous as usual, other times I just chuck the whole lot into the bath but which ever option you choose you will have plenty of fragrance and in some cases bubbles. So, once you have made your decision and your lovely hot bath is running, ensure there is at least a few inches of water in the bottom of the bath and then place the bath blaster into the bath water and because it contains Sodium Bicarbonate this acts as a fizzing agent which gives bath bombs the energy to fizz around your bath, bicarbonate soda also softens the water, so if like me you live in a hard water this is really helpful because I find hard water dries out my skin.
Once this Bath Blaster begins whizzing around the bath the smell which develops as it melts away is absolutely amazing and it really lingers through the house as the bath is running. The one thing to note is that with most Bath Bombs there are no bubbles, which I always find disappointing because I do love to have bubbles in my bath, however with this product there was some slight evidence of some bubbles beginning to appear and even though there are essential oils as the main ingredients you will find no greasy film floating on the top of the bath water. Once you have enjoyed your long soak and for me it has to be a long soak to totally enjoy the experience and expense of buying these product you will notice that once the water is emptied out there is also no hint or trace of the Bath Blaster left clinging to the bath as I have previously experienced.
Once I've had my lovely Citrus smelling bath, my skin did feel really soft as well as smelling fruity. As I have extremely sensitive skin I often find that I am limited in which products I can use because I am allergic to them and they irritate my skin, with Bomb Cosmetics I am yet to find an issue with any of the products that I have tried. As bathing for me is an absolute must, it is one of the best ways that I know of to relax and it is gives me some much needed me time to escape from the stresses of the real world and to really unwind.
So would I recommend this product? I absolutely would without a shadow of a doubt. For those people who enjoy baths as much as I do to relax I feel you need a product which makes you feel relaxed and de-stressed and for me it is ensuring I have that right product and with Foameo and Juliet, not only do you feel relaxed and de-stressed but you also feel happy and smiley.
If you are thinking of purchasing any of these products they are available online through their website which is www.bombcosmetics.co.uk and it is here that you will find a whole host of products. The Bath Blaster that I have reviewed retails once again at £2.10 and it weighs 160g and is a real good value for money product.
Also on this website you can find a list of ingredients for each product listed, so if like me you suffer from sensitive skin you are able to check beforehand whether or not you are able to use a particular product.
