      A Ylang Ylang Bath Blaster

With a bathroom almost decorated and boxes full of Lush products boxed up ready to use, I decided to take a break from them and use something from my dwindling stock of Bomb Cosmetics Bath Blasters.

The choice of Bath Blaster is always quite difficult because I try to choose one to match my mood and feeling quite stressed out and irritable, I wanted something that would relax me and make me feel at ease. So the Choice was down to only one Bath Blaster and it was aptly named "In the mood".

In the mood as a Bath Blaster isn't the most exciting to look at, shaped like a tennis ball as most Bath Blasters are, this particular one is pure bright white in colour and the only hint of colour is that on the top right hand side is a small red blob which is shaped like a flower. This Bath Blaster retails at £1.99 which therefore means it is a lot cheaper than some of the ones I have used in the past.

So what made me choose 'In the mood'? Well firstly it contains Ylang Ylang oil as the main ingredient which helps assist with anxiety, stress and nervous tension which is absolutely perfect for those times when I can't sit still, my brain doesn't stop working and all I can think of is that list of things to do at work which never gets any smaller. Ylang Ylang oil is also good for people who suffer from insomnia and high blood pressure like me because it brings about a calm state of mind. On the skin this oils main purpose is to soothe and balance the sebum production, so for anyone with dry or oily skin this would also be helpful. There are combinations of other ingredients for this product all of which can be found on the Bomb Cosmetics website.

To use this bath blaster you need to decide firstly whether you want to use it all at once or chop it in half or quarters. If you choose the latter then be warned that it does get very messy when you do try to half it and I tend to use a knife and a bowl to saw it in half. To be honest, I usually just chuck the whole lot into the bath but which ever option you choose you will have plenty of fragrance and in some cases bubbles. So, once you have made your decision and your lovely hot bath is running, you will need to ensure that there is at least a few inches of water in the bottom of the bath because this helps the Bath Blaster to float within the bath water and then once it touches water because it contains Sodium Bicarbonate this acts as a fizzing agent which gives bath bombs the energy to fizz around your bath, bicarbonate soda also softens the water, so if like me you live in a hard water this is really helpful because I find hard water dries out my skin.

Once this Bath Blaster begins whizzing around the bath the smell which develops as it melts away is absolutely amazing and it really lingers through the house as the bath is running, Ylang Ylang smells very similar to jasmine in my opinion and is quite sweet smelling. The one thing to note is that with most Bath Bombs there are no bubbles, which I always find disappointing because I do love to have bubbles in my bath; however I find that if I swish the water about with my hands a few bubbles began to appear but just not in the quantities I am used to.

Once you have enjoyed your long soak and for me it has to be a long soak to totally enjoy the experience and expense of buying these products and have ample time to read my book and drink a few glasses of wine, you will notice that once the water is emptied out there is also no hint or trace of the Bath Blaster left clinging to the bath and no tide marks around the bath as I have previously experienced.

Once I've had my lovely bath, I felt incredibly relaxed and refreshed and the thoughts about work were far from my mind at that particular moment. My skin was also very soft and moisturised and afterwards I didn't feel the need to apply any moisturising cream as I would usually do and there was also a slight subtle hint of Ylang Ylang on my skin the following morning. Having time to have a relaxing bath for me is an absolute must, it is one of the best ways that I know of to completely make me feel relaxed and it is gives me some much needed me time to escape from the stresses of the real world and to really unwind. What did it put me in the mood for? Well that of course would be telling!

So would I recommend this product? I absolutely would without a shadow of a doubt. For those people who enjoy baths as much as I do to relax I feel you need a product which makes you feel relaxed and de-stressed and for me it is ensuring I have that right product and with 'In the mood', not only do you feel relaxed and de-stressed but you also feel happy and smiley.

If you are thinking of purchasing any of these products they are available online through their website which is www.bombcosmetics.co.uk and it is here that you will find a whole host of products. The Bath Blaster that I have reviewed retails once again at £1.99 and it weighs 160g and is a real good value for money product.

Also on this website you can find a list of ingredients for each product listed, so if like me you suffer from sensitive skin you are able to check beforehand whether or not you are able to use a particular product.
