      Marigold Bath Creamer

Having tried the Bomb Cosmetics Rose Creamer and liked it, despite the mass of petals it left floating around my bath, I was keen to try the Marigold Creamer I had also purchased at the same time.

A bath creamer is like a very small bath bomb which has a high cocoa butter and shea butter content to give it skin softening properties. The marigold one, as I'm sure you can see from the picture, is a little white ball, packed with yellow marigold petals.

This product contains marigold (soothing and moisturising), geranium (great for dry skin) and lavender (known for calming and sleep inducing properties) oils.

Smell wise, as I'm sure you would imagine, this product smells very floral. I'm not sure I would be able to identify either the scent of marigold or the scent of geranium on their own, but this has a sweet, floral almost powdery smell to it, but the floral scent is not too overpowering.

To use, you simply drop it into your bath water, where it will fizz away releasing the butters, oils and petals into the water. Like the majority of the other Bomb Cosmetics products I have tried this one fizzed quite slowly and took a while to dissolve.

Once it finally had dissolved completely, the water went a cloudy colour, which actually made it look quite dirty, especially with the yellow petals bobbing about on the surface. I'm not one for these 'bits' in my bath, although as mentioned I used the Rose version of this product and didn't particularly mind it. This on the other hand was a real pain in the neck! The petals stuck to me and when I drained the bath, despite having one of those hair trap thingys, the petals were so small most of them went down the drain.

Despite its pleasant scent before putting this in the bath, once it was actually in the bath and dissolved, I couldn't smell it at all. Even when I got out of the bath there was no trace of the scent on my skin, which was disappointing.

My skin did feel quite soft after using this and also fairly moisturised, so I suppose the cocoa and shea butters must have done some good after all.

This product costs £1.99 and weighs 30g. It can be purchased online from www.bombcosmetics.co.uk

Overall, I was disappointed with this product. Once in the water there was almost no smell, and the petals got stuck to me and the bath, and were a bit of a pain rather than a luxury, but on a more positive note, it did leave my skin soft.
