Bomb Cosmetics was established over 14 years and make handmade products including Bath Blasters, Bath Melts, Soaps, Wax Melts, Scented Candles, Moisturisers, Scrubs, Shower Butters, Gels and more. Their range of bath blasters proved so popular at trade shows when they first launched that they since have introduced new products to their range. All their products are made from natural ingredients and are made by their own staff on their own premises. They are against animal testing and recycle as many products as they can. As they care about the planet and animals they use as little packaging as possible and all their packaging is made from recycled materials. Some of their products can be found in various places such as Garden Centers but they also have an online website where you can purchase their products and find more information out about their products as well as them. My mum actually purchased a few bath blasters (also known as bath bombs) just before Christmas & they smelt really nice, so I looked up the brand and found the Bomb Cosmetics website. It's coming up to mother's day so I decided to purchase a gift set from here for my mum. I thought I would also purchase a few items for myself as well to try.

I purchased this from the Bomb Cosmetic website (www.bombcosmetics.co.uk). For a 30g buttercup which is the only size the product come in it was £2.20. Although the product is quite small and can only be used once I don't think it's a too bad price for a nice treat every now and again.

The product I am reviewing is called a Bath Buttercup. Before now I had never heard of Bath Buttercups so I was intrigued to try it. Simply put the product into the bath and watch it fizz as it slowly melts to release the delicious fruity scents and butters to soften your skin. This particular buttercup has a range of juicy scents such as Cranberries, Zesty Lime, Strawberry, Raspberry, Plum, Peach, Apple and Cassis with hints of White Flowers on a Woody base. The actual product looks like a very small cupcake and comes in a mini paper cake case. This particular buttercup is a light pink colour and has bright green strands on the top of it. The buttercup has been swirled into the paper case to make it look like a small cupcake. I think the product looks really nice and I love the way it's been made to look like a little cupcake. I haven't seen a product like this before so I think this is quite a unique look for a bath product. The product smells extremely fruity and I can definitely smell the scent of Raspberry and hints of Apple in the buttercup. Amongst these scents I can also smell a slight woody smell which is quite light but smells lovely with the rich fruity smell.
Some of the ingredients in this product include: Cocoa Seed Butter, Shea Butter and Lime Oil.
Using the Product

Take the buttercup out of the wrapper. This comes off really easily. Place the buttercup into a warm bath and watch it slowly fizz and melt. As it melt and fizzes it releases its Cocoa Butter which leaves skin feeling soft. I was intending on taking a picture of the buttercup as it fizzed away in the water, how-ever this wasn't possible. As soon as I dropped the buttercup into the warm water it sunk and fizzed away under the water, so there really wasn't much to see. The water turned slightly cloudy and there were a few bubbles on the top of the water with some white lather. I could now smell the Zesty Lime and this overpowered any of the other smells in the buttercup. As I got into the bath the first thing I noticed was that the buttercup obviously contained oil as I could feel the oil in the water as I got into the bath. I could also see it a little on top of the water as well. Due to the zesty smell I found the bath rather relaxing. At this point I couldn't really tell what my skin was going to be like after the bath. After washing I got out of the bath and patted my skin dry. My skin felt moisturised and extremely smooth and soft, I was impressed. Although the buttercup had oil in it my skin wasn't too oily after getting out the bath which was nice. Even after drying my skin there was a slight zesty scent left on my skin which was quite nice.

Bomb Cosmetics products remind me a little of Lush and as I love the product from Lush I wasn't sure how these products would compare. The first thing I have to say about this product is that I haven't seen these bath buttercups anywhere else or any other products that look like this. I think the design of the buttercup is really cute and I love the way it's been made and decorated to look like a small cupcake. Even before putting the buttercup into the water the smell of it is really fruity and pleasant. I loved the fact that when I placed the buttercup into the water that the smell changed to more of a zesty lime smell. I would have liked watching the buttercup fizz away in the water but as it sinks you can't really see it fizzing away. Although there was a slightly oily residue on my skin it didn't make my skin feel really greasy which was good. This made my skin feel smooth, soft and moisturised. I was impressed with this product and would purchase another one in this range to treat myself. As I was so impressed by this product I would also try other products in the Bomb Cosmetics range.
