      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great little find to hang on to.

Introduction~~~~~~ As you may already know I'm a bit of a sucker for a bargain and when confronted with coconut which is one of my favourite smells and almond shower cream at about £1.29 for a 250ml bottle at my local Boots store I just couldn't resist, not to mention I also got points on my advantage card to top it all off as well. The Product~~~~~~ Packaged in an easy to open bottle where the lid doesn't stick like so many others I've tried I was pleasantly surprised at the thick consistency of the cream and the fact I didn't have to use a lot on my sponge to lather it up. The cream itself is a rich pearly white colour and the smell is divine but not overpowering. When I used it on my skin it made it feel silky and smooth and it also didn't dry out my skin either which is something I sometimes have a problem with. I loved it so much I actually went out and bought the mango version as well. I have to say it was great value for money and I would definitely buy again, I can honestly find no downside to this product apart from the lasting smell. The Lasting Smell~~~~~ I'm afraid it's back to the drawing board as yet another product I have tried doesn't leave my skin with that lasting smell I've been longing for but at least it was still a nice change from the usual. The Final Word~~~~~ I am definitely glad I bought it and like I said before will buy again, great value and excellent product.

      Disadvantages

I would (and do) buy this product over and over

I'm a recent convert to all things coconut, so when I used some shower cream at my Mum's - Boots Coconut and Almond Shower Cream - I was hooked. Part of the Ingredients range that has simple fragranced shower creams and handwashes, the coconut and almond is, for me, the nicest. The product comes in a 250ml clear bottle with a hook on the top so it can hang from an available hook in your shower and a cap that opens easily with the thumb, even when wet. It's nice to be able to see how much you have left, instead of holding it up to the light and trying to see through the tube as you have to with some shower gels. The only downside is that sometimes the product gets stuck in the hook handle as it is hollow, so in order to get the full amount of cream out you have to rest the bottle on it's back. Which can be a little fiddly. The picture on the front is a close up of a coconut balancing on an almond - exactly what it is fragrance with. The smell, then, is what initially attracted me to it and it is surprisingly sweet and delicate. It smells like coconut cake. The almond gives a lift to the coconut which would otherwise be quite one-dimensional, I feel. I find this shower cream works best with a body puff; squirt a little onto the puff or your hand and lather it all over your body. It creates a generous amount of sweet, nutty foam that fills the bathroom with scent. On the bottle it promises to be moisturising and hydrating. And it does - to a point. I know I have dry skin so I was expecting it to work a little more than it did. It did leave my skin nice and soft, but not as moisturised so I had to apply a body lotion afterwards. The fragrance lingered nicely and, as my skin warmed it, kept wrapping me in nutty niceness for quite a while. It has one of those scents that, being food-based rather than floral based, could be used by either men or women too. A bottle lasts quite a long time, so this is definitely a good purchase. I'm onto my third bottle now and get myself one on the Boots points. However, there are usually buy 2 for £2 offers - so it is a great bathroom addition.

I love the smell of coconut, so when my mum gave be a 250ml bottle of this coconut and almond shower cream, I was delighted - even more so when the noticed the bottle claimed that this product would be moisturising and hydrating . Normally I have quite good skin, but in winter when it gets cold, my skin does tend to suffer and dry out, so a little added moisture is always a good thinh . The bottle this comes in is clear, allowing you to see the creamy pearl white gel within. It has a handy hook at one end, allowing it to be hung up in the shower, and a flat flip top lid at the other end - so if you can't hang it up, you can at least stand it up straight. It's simple enough to use - nobody really needs instructions for shower gels, but the product does advise that for best results, you use it with a shower puff or sponge . I opted for the shower puff option , and I have to say that with only a small squirt of this, it lathered up a treat, leaving me feeling very clean . The scent was wonderful - I could pick up on the coconut right away, although the sweet almond took a little while to come through. This was a very strong smell when I was using it, but left only a light hint of coconut on my skin . I didn't find I needed to use a lot, and I think this 250ml bottle will last quite a long time . This isn't too expensive either - while I'm not sure of the exact price, I don't remember it being much over a pound. I would certainly buy it again, it does the job, smells wonderful, and while I can't say I really noticed any moisturising or hydrating, but it was very gentle on my skin . 4 stars, a great product .

        Will buy again

I bought this shower cream in a bid to cut down my spending on cosmetics and toiletries, as it was cheaper than my usual brands, and I thought it sounded quite nice. It costs £1.16 in Boots. It comes in a plastic bottle with a hook to hang it up in the shower, which is nice and practical, and has a flip up lid to make it easy to use in the shower. You can see the white cream through the bottle and it does look very nice. It's quite a thick cream which lathers up very easily and the bubbles it makes feel really soft, smooth and creamy on my skin. You don't need to use a lot at a time as it lathers up so well, so the 250ml bottle lasts a long time. One of the best things about it is the scent. It smells lovely, really strong and sweet, but not overpowering or too synthetic. To me it mainly smells of coconut, I can't really smell the almond in it at all, but it's a lovely scent which makes me feel all summery and reminds me of holidays! It cleans well and rinses off easily to leave my skin refreshed and squeaky clean, without any trace of greasiness or any residue left on my skin. My skin feels really soft, smooth and silky and it definitely feels well moisturised and hydrated. To be honest I'm quite surprised to be saying this, but this shower cream does just as good a job of cleaning and moisturising my skin as products that cost 3 times as much. I'll definitely be buying it again!
