Advantages: It was free.

Disadvantages: Lack of any real smell, lack of lather, not moisturising at all.

I received a Cocoa Body wash from Boots as part of a beauty gift pack last Christmas and only very recently got around to using it. This is a certified Fair Trade product. If I was to buy this myself now it would cost me £4.19 for a 400ml size but I personally don't think it's worth it as I was quite disappointed with this body wash.

The body wash comes in a plastic tube which is quite soft so I'm able to squeeze out the contents without any difficulty and it stands on its head. It is advertised as being a body wash that will moisturise, condition and cleanse the skin all at the same time.

The fragrance of this body was is very mild and in this respect alone it's a little bit disappointing, as I was expecting something stronger smelling and longer lasting. It's certainly sweet smelling but not as strong as I'd imagined it would be. It's also quite a manufactured smell, which surprised me as it's advertised as being full of natural ingredients.

I've used this body wash a few times now and on every occasion I've used my nylon body puff as it simply doesn't lather up at all without using the puff. It is quite a thick and gloopy consistency and it feels quite unpleasant on the skin unless I use a body puff. It doesn't create a massive amount of foam or lather no matter how much I use and I've used tons. With most body washes, once they hit they skin and are mixed with the water from the shower or bath, they will foam into a lather of some sort. It's so incredibly hard to get any foam or lather going with this body wash - in fact, it's almost lather-free.

My skin does feel more moisturised after I've used this body wash but in all honesty I don't feel like I've been properly cleaned either, and this is simply due to he fact that I cannot get any lather from this gel. It's very poor.

Overall, I'm not particularly enamored with this product and definitely don't feel it's worth the price tag. I've used far better from Superdrug or Savers and paid a lot less money into the bargain.

Disappointing product and not recommended.
