I do love a good bath foam. I don't bath everyday I'm more of a shower girl to be honest and of late I've found it very hard to relax! What with Christmas and being busy and everything, new bf, too many late nights I just haven't had the time to relax I guess so when I saw this for £5.00 in Boots (Only sold in Boots as it's a Boots own product) I felt I 'needed' it as lavender is known for relaxation and that's what I need right now! The Packaging.... 200ml glass see through bottle which is cylinder in shape and I can see a pinkish coloured liquid through it and it has a silver cap situated at the top that screws on and off and covers a large hole at the top. Around the middle there is a light yellow label and in light brown writing I'm told it's Boots, French Lavender, Relaxing Bath Essence (which is blended with pure essential oil of French Lavender). On the back I'm told a bit about the product, size is stated (as I've listed already), the recycle symbol is on there, details to contact Boots are listed and finally there is a bar-code. I do like the packaging it's simple and elegant and would make a very nice gift! A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle.... An indulgent bath essence which softens and moisturises the skin. Unwind and enjoy the infusion of Lavender essential oil, known to help aid relaxation. Experience peace and tranquility as the aroma of Lavender helps to unwind and dissolve away the stresses of daily life. Using It.... Simply pour a little of the gel like liquid into the bath and add water! It doesn't blob out and not alot comes out either but a really steady amount pours out slowly and when you tip the bottle back to it's upright position it's shocking how little is used so you can add more or whatever but you don't need much to get some foam going in the tub at all. When bath is ran your met with plenty of rich, white, thick bubbles but the most apparent thing is the smell. It's lavender and there's no mistaking that fact at all. It isn't sweetened up or got things added to soften that smell. It's simply lavender and that's that. When in the bath the water is slightly softened but nothing much at all which I found a bit disappointing to be honest but relaxation? Yes, to me it gives that to the max. It is (again for me) a stress-buster and simply nice to lie in. The smell, even if in there for a couple of hours using other products like soap and stuff doesn't lose it's smell one bit and a few bubbles stay settled on water that has a slight pink tinge to it. When you dry off the smell is delicately left on the skin but not too strong but it is apparent and stays there till you wash it off the skin type of thing. Overall.... Not as skin softening as I'd like it to be but the smell is lovely and relaxing and although a fiver seems a lot to spend on one product it lasts flipping ages, so economical it really turns out to be! I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it again as I do like products that are a tad more moisturising to my skin (although this doesn't dry skin out) and this has no benefits to me in this area but if you want a good chill...yep this is great!
