sugar, vanilla and nectarine scented bubble bath

I discovered this bubble bath while shopping in Boots, doing my usual of sniffing all the different bubble baths. I absolutely fell in love with the scent of this one, but at £4.99 a bottle, I decided it was too expensive. A few weeks ago though, I got a 25% off coupon for the Boots Mediterranean range, so decided to treat myself for the price of £3.75

      ~Packaging~

The packaging of this is fairly average I would say. It comes in a clear plastic bottle, which is always useful as you can see how much is left, and has a black screw-top cap. There is a picture of a nectarine on the front along with the words ‘Sugar Vanilla Nectarine’.

      ~Smell~

This bubble bath has the scent of Vanilla, Sugar and Nectarines. It has an absolutely gorgeous fragrance. It is very sweet (that’ll be the sugar then), and slightly fruity. It is very soft and gentle, and is very feminine. I actually put this under my boyfriends nose and asked him to smell it and he said ‘mmm I could eat it’ – that’s how nice it is! If however, you like very strong musky or spicy smells, this probably wouldn’t be for you.

      ~Using it~

One good thing I’ve found about this, is that only a small amount is needed to create a large amount of bubbles. These bubbles are long lasting as well, and usually don’t fade, even throughout a long soak.
The scent is very strong when the product is first added to the water, but I found that it fades quickly. My skin also doesn’t feel any different after I have used it, which I thought was a bit poor considering the price.

      ~Price and availability~

This costs a staggering £4.99 for a 500ml bottle, and although I got it with a discount, now I have used it, I still wouldn’t buy it again. As Mediterranean is a Boots brand, it is only available from Boots stores or www.boots.com

      ~My Verdict~

For the price, I thought this was very disappointing. After paying so much for a bottle of bubble bath, I expected long-lasting fragrance, and perhaps some sort of skin-softening properties. Unfortunately, I got neither. It could be because I had wanted to try it for so long that I had built my hopes up too high for this, but I just generally don’t think it was very good.
This smells delicious in the bottle, but sadly doesn’t have much else going for it. A shame really.
