This is a review of Boots' Mediterranean Thyme Milk & Lemon Verbena Bath Cream. I received a cute 75ml bottle of this in a gift set a while ago and had been saving it to use as it all looked so lovely. The body butter in there was dried up when I opened the jar so I think I waited a little too long before using. Fortunately this bath cream was still fine and runny and good to use.

First thoughts
Upon opening the bottle the lemon scent was very strong and the main fragrance I could identify. The thyme smell came once the product was added to running water and it smelt lovely.

In use
I had to use quite a lot of this bottle to get a decent amount of bubbles going, therefore I reckon the 75ml bottle will do three baths for me, which is not a great deal as some bubble baths go crazy on just a cap full. I am not sure what verbena is but it went nicely with the other ingredients in this bath cream.

The claim
Boots say: There is nothing more rewarding after a long, hard day than soaking in a hot tub infused with this indulgent bath cream. With stimulating organic thyme, skin softening milk and refreshing organic lemon verbena oil, the stresses and strains of your day will simply melt away and you'll be left feeling relaxed and revived. Dermatologically tested.

Packaging
The bath cream comes in a clear bottle with a white label which has a picture of the plants that are used to make the product. It has a black screw top that has kept it nice and fresh. My only complaint for the gift set is the glue that was used to keep the products in place. It is impossible to remove from the product and spoilt my experience of opening the box and removing the bottles. It is horrible sticky and globby and totally unnecessary as the tray had slots for the product.

Price
I can't say how much my gift set cost. Strangely, there is a product page for this item on the Boots website but no price listed. Perhaps it is only available in the seasonal gift sets.

Final thoughts
As a bubble bath I thought this product performed well and was kind to my skin. I liked the strong smelling lemon fragrance and felt relaxed whilst bathing. Obviously I can't moan that my bottle wasn't big enough for many baths as it came in a gift set with lots of other luxury products that I have enjoyed using (except for the body butter). I would recommend this if you see it in Boots and certainly have found the Mediterranean brand to be of high quality and luxury content so would be happy to receive it as a gift again any time in the future.

Just please note if you're listenung please Boots, the glue you use to stick products in to gift boxes is awful and really spoils the excitement of opening and discovering the products in a gift!
