“ Brand: Boots / Type: Shower Gel / Suitable for: Body / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types „
Out of the Boots Natural Collection gift set that I got as a presssie I think the Mango and Papaya is my favourite. I don't know how much the set cost but the individual shower gels are £2 for 250ml so reasonably priced.
My shower gel is only 75ml and comes in a screw top tube however the 250ml comes in the usual shower gel type bottle with a flip lid and a shower hook on the top to hang it up. The picture on the front is of (I presume) a mango surrounded by flowers and leaves. The back of my tube has directions but no ingredients but does say there's real fruit extract in it and it does smell authentically fruity. It claims to leave your skin cleansed and refreshed. You can't miss it on the shelf because the shower gel is bright orange.
I really like the colour of this gel, it's a deep blood orange that isn't pearlescent or creamy but 'clear'. I like the consistency too, it's not too thick or thin and pours out nicely- it's not gloopy at all. The shower gel smells fab, it reminds me of the lovely scented Body Shop Peach Vineyard range.
This creates a lot of frothy white bubbles with a bath sponge or lily- they fly everywhere. A 50p amount is plenty for me for a whole body wash. However without a sponge or lily I do need to use more and I get no bubbles so economically it's much better to use either one.
I really love this particular shower gel, it lasts ages, smells great, leaves me feeling clean and is definitely refreshing. It isn't moisturising or softening but it isn't drying either, I've had no adverse reaction to it. Unfortunately the smell doesn't linger but nice while it lasts.
You really don't need much of this, going by my previous tube it will last weeks and that's only 75ml.
5 stars from me
One of my favourite smells from the Boots Naturals Collection is the mango and papaya variety, a wonderful fruity smell and one that I have in a number of different products.
The shower gel is one of the products that I received in a bundle of mango and papaya products and I've enjoyed using it in my shower, even if my husband doesn't as he says its too fruity and girly for him. I would have to admit, I think this fragrance of shower gel is definitely more suited to women as it leaves you with a nice fruity smelling skin when you wash with it.
What I love about this shower gel is that it costs just £2 and is part of a range so you can really layer up with the different products. I have the body spray as well so I like to use this after I have showered to really lock in the flavour on my skin. I find it to be quite a strong fruity smell and has a nice after smell to it. People often compliment me on it as they can really smell me when I have washed with this in the morning.
The shower gel is described as a, "revitalising fragrance of Natural Collection Mango and Papaya Shower Gel that lathers skin leaving it cleansed and refreshed and gets you glowing." Its also described as nourishing and I like the way it makes my skin feel after use. I find it lathers up really well in the shower, especially if I use it with a bath puff. The product has a nice gel like consistency to it and it soaks into my skin well and holds onto it and doesn't slip off like some other shower gels do.
The bottle comes with a handy hook on the top so you can hang it up in your shower which is something I really like, I know, a silly point but I hate having bottles on the floor in my shower so the hook is great.
All in all, another excellent product from the Naturals Collection range.
This product contains 250ml of shower gel that is orange in colour and smells lovely. Its from the boots natural collection and is the mango and papaya version. The bottle the shower gel comes in has a really handy hook meaning you can hang it from the show curtain/rail/side anywhere really. The way the bottle is designed means that all the product will end up at the lid end of the product avoiding wastage except for the tiny bit of shower gel stuck in the hook (the bottle that I purchased is different in design from the one shown in the picture here, see the boots website for an up to date image). The product has an inviting picture on the front and the text is surprisingly easy to read.
For a product from a "natural collection" there was a surprisingly long list of ingredients that I couldn't pronounce let alone know what they are which is a tad misleading. The lovely orange colour of the product seemed too good to be "natural".
...My Experience Using this Product...
I have to be honest I am a big fan of Mango's just everything about them; there smell, there taste and there colour so seeing this shower gel in boots I knew I had to try it. This product didn't dissapoint it had a lovely smell, the bottle was easy to open and a good amount of product could easily be dispensed by gently squeezing the bottle. The product was of a good consistency that formed into a lovely lather and my body was left feeling clean and fresh. The smell sadly didn't linger on my skin and isn't quite as nice and exotic as the sent of other more expensive brands.
...Value For Money...
I brought this product from boots when there natural collection range had a three for two offer (the offer also included many other bathing products from other boots ranges e.g. No7). But this shower gel can be brought at full price for just £2 a bottle earning you 8 advantage card points. I believe this product is good value for money although you can usually find similar products of a similar standard on offer in supermarkets. I wouldn't specifically seek out this product but would buy it if it was on offer again.
My sister bought me a selection of toiletries for Christmas, one of which was the Natural Collection Mango and Papaya shower gel. I started using this pretty much straight away as I liked the smell and now, a couple of weeks on, I am nearing the end of the bottle already.
The bottle this comes in is clear plastic and shaped with a hook at the top for hanging up in the shower. The liquid inside is a vibrant orange which really looks quite summery and appealing. The picture on the front is cartoon like and whilst this is perhaps not the classiest looking product, I think it probably appeals to the group it is intended for, which is teenagers. It is also perfectly functional, with the flip top cap being easy to open even when I have wet hands.
Without a doubt the best thing about this shower gel is the fragrance. It has a very strong fruity scent, I'd say it's probably more mango than it is papaya, but I don't mind as it just smells delicious. The smell reminds me of summer and would be perfect for using during the summer months, although that said, I'm enjoying using it just as much in winter, as it's a really uplifting fragrance. I'd also say its unisex; my fiancé has also been using this and hasn't yet complained that it smells too girly, as he tends to do with the other products he pinches from me!
The shower gel is quite a thick consistency and the smell really comes out as soon as you squeeze this from the bottle. I have used this with and without a shower puff. The shower puff is the more economical way as you get more lather with less gel. Even without the puff though, I find this gives a decent lather and it feels quite creamy against the skin.
After rinsing this from my skin, I can still smell a trace of it lingering. In fairness I would have liked it to leave a little bit of a stronger smell behind, but I'm not complaining too much. This also leaves my skin fairly soft and certainly doesn't dry it in any way which is something I always worry about, given that my skin can be reasonably dry anyway. I also have eczema, as does my fiancé, and neither of us have had any reactions or flare ups since using this, although as a rule we shouldn't be using fragranced products on it in the first place.
A 250 ml bottle of this shower gel costs £2.03 which I think is a fair enough price for the size of bottle and considering that I feel this is a fairly good quality product. As Natural Collection are a Boots brand, you can only buy from Boots stores or at www.boots.com
A matching bath essence, body cream, hair conditioner, body spray, lip gloss and body scrub are also available if you like to layer your scent.
I have been surprised at just how much I like this product to be honest. Natural Collection is not a brand I use very often, but this shower gel really is a little gem. It smells gorgeous and leaves skin soft. I have no real complaints about it and it definitely gets the thumbs up from me.
Even though I have no shower in my flat I still buy shower gel, either to use in the bath or to take round my mates for a shower, as I have the bath and she has the shower lol.
I don't usually opt for own shop branded products when it comes to toiletries to be honest however I love the store that is Boots and I found myself the other day sniffing some of this range and I really loved the scent of this so I treated myself to a bottle. This usually costs £2.08 for a 200ml bottle but at the time I purchased this it cost me £5.00 for three items which I thought was a very good deal indeed (and I collected Boots advantage points too!).
The shower gel comes in a see-through plastic bottle with a black hanger to one end of it and to the other end a flip top lid is situated so it is always easy to dispense the product. On the front of the bottle we are told that it is Boots Natural Collection Mango & Papaya Shower Gel then on the back of the bottle other information listed includes ingredients being given, the size is stated and contact details for Boots (the manufacturer) are listed. Nice enough bottle this is and on the front of it there is also a picture shown of a papaya and all in all this is a nice enough, informative enough bottle.
The Product Itself:
Well the shower gel is a runny gel though it isn't like water and you do need to squeeze it out of the bottle. Its a rich amber/orangy colour and transparent and to me I can only really smell the mango in this but that mango scent is rich and sweet and really tropical and uplifting. I can't smell papaya but then I'm not sure what scent that would be as I don't know what one of them smells like anyway to be perfectly honest with you lol!
In my opinion this is a unisex scent and rather lovely. You don't need more that a small squeeze of this to get the juicy scent going, it gives off a nice thick white lather and I can even shave my bits and pieces with this if I want to and with ease. It rinses off the skin easily and leaves the scent lingering on my skin for a good couple of hours and my skin is left soft enough though not overly moisturised or anything like that.
This is a good economical buy, I like the scent and it doesn't agitate my sensitive skin!
Only available from Boots stores and/or from Boots.com

This shower gel is part of the Natural Collection range in Boots and is one of the numerous mouth-watering combinations they produce. This one is mango and papaya but others they sell include wild strawberry, vanilla, samphire and sea minerals, ice musk, passion fruit and apple and lime, This particular scent comes in a shower gel, bath essence, body scrub, hair sachets, body cream, lip gloss and a body spray.
It can be picked up for £2.03 and is currently on 3 for 2. The 200ml is in a bottle different to the above picture but instead is in a squeezy container that sits on its lid on the bottom. The lid is a flip top and I have had no problems with leaking. The picture on the front is of what I presume to be papaya with plants and flowers. It makes for a tropical, summery picture. The back tells us to 'get glowing with the revitalising extracts of mango and papaya to leave your skin cleanses and refreshed.'
It is nice to see there are extracts in this but I cannot see how much or what else is in this as there are no ingredients listed and although the name of the range evokes feelings of friendly ingredients, I feel the name is more about the scents they are reproducing in their products. It is also made in China so lots of air miles.
The colour of the gel I would describe as a dark lucazade that dispenses easily but be careful as it can come out too fast especially if the bottle is full. It lathers and spreads easily though not excessively so still needs several squirts for the whole body unless using a shower puff. I can definitely smell the mango combined with an extra zing that must be the papaya. It smells very tropical and fruity.
It leaves no scent in the bathroom and hardly any on my skin. I do feel refreshed after using it and can occasionally catch a smell of it. From using other scents and products from natural collection if you wanted to smell of this then it would be best to combine it with the body cream and/or the spray.
I would definitely recommend this as a lovely fruity summer scent that leaves you feeling refreshed.
I got this as part of a Natural Collection gift set at Christmas and have only just gotten round to using it.
The product comes in a clear plastic tube, with a black plastic flip-top lid. There is a picture of a papaya on it. The tube stands lid-down, so the product sinks to the bottom and is easily dispensed. Inside, the shower gel is a dark amber colour.
When you open the tube, you can smell the shower gel - it smells mostly of mango and also I could smell tangerines. I'm not sure what papaya smells like to be honest so I can't say if they come across in the fragrance - sorry!
The shower gel is fairly thick so you can squeeze a good blob of it onto a facecloth, puff or your hand and it won't slide off like some runnier shower gels tend to do. It produces a decent amount of lather, and does so quickly. The smell is the best bit about the product as it makes you feel fresh and clean.
After showering, my skin didn't feel moisturised but the shower gel didn't dry it out either. I could smell it off my skin after it dried, though sadly not for very long.
I wouldn't buy this again and I'm glad that I only got it as part of a gift set. It's nice enough but I feel that with Natural Collection products, you are paying for the name. I don't think the products live up to the price or do a better job than some cheaper ranges (I am only speaking about the shower gels etc, I can't vouch for the make-up as I have never used it).
I also feel that the name 'Natural Collection' does give you the impression that the range of products are made with natural and/or organic ingredients. However I see nothing natural about them aside from the fact they are named after various fruits. While this claims to have mango and papaya 'extracts' they do come across as very artificially perfumed and coloured - which kind of defeats the purpose of calling them 'Natural'. That's just my opinion anyway!
I think that this range is better suited to teens as they are brightly coloured and the packaging is cute.
This costs around for £2.03 for 200ml.
The natural collection is a Boots brand and this shower gel costs £1.99 I had it as a gift for my birthday. For your £1.99 you get 250ml of this shower gel which has a handy hook for hanging on you shower rail.
As the gel is hung upside down all the liquid is ready when you need it which is great.
The gel smells fruity of mango and papaya as it says on the packaging. The gel is a orange colour and is quite thich when you squeeze it from the bottle. As it is thick a couple of squirts is enough to wash my body and it lathers up really well it is especially good on a exfoliating buffer the ones which are like balls not sure what the name is for them. But they really make a difference when you squirt in the gel.
Once the gel is on the buffer you can smell the fruity gel and once rubbed into your skin and rinsed away it makes me feel and smell really clean.
Once dry there is still a nice smell left on my skin which is also good I like it when you can smell clean after a shower.
4 stars for a very nice fruity shower gel which leaves you feeling clean and refreshed. I knock a star off because I think that £1.99 is a little steep when you can get radox ones for £1 and they are a bigger name.
I first tried this shower gel a few weeks ago and have used it nearly ever day since then because it's got a GORGEOUS smell, cleans my body, leaves my skin soft and is quite often on special offer to make it work out one of the cheapest shower gels in Boots.
The smell is delish, it's proper fruity and you can smell the mango and papaya. The shower gel is just the right texture and comes out of the bottle easy, but it's not runny and you won't end up dripping half of it down the plug hole and wasting it.
You don't need to use very much shower gel to get a nice lather so that makes a bottle of this very economical. I think if you use a bit extra though you get a stronger smell that lasts on your body for longer through the day. The smell of this shower gel lingers for quite a while anyway because of it being such a strong fruity smell but as soon as it disappears that's it and there's no fading of the smell or anything..... one minute it's there and the next minute it's not!
You can feel as you're washing that this is a very cleansing shower gel and it also feels very summery to use because of the light texture and the lovely smell. The shower gel will leave you skin feeling dead soft and after you've dried yourself you probably won't need to use a moisturiser unless you have got very dry skin anyway. After using this for a few days on the trot I noticed that my skin was getting softer and softer so it's deffo worth keeping on with it if your skin just needs a little bit extra to soften it up a bit.
My skin doesn't feel sticky or anything after I've used this shower gel and even though you get quite a lot of lather it's dead easy to rinse off in the shower. I also like using this as a handwash and you only have to use a couple of drops so that probably saves money on handwash..... especially because I don't use the cheap stuff!
I bought this shower gel a few weeks ago as a bit of an impulse purchase from boots. It really stood out on the shelf as the packaging was really nice and the colour of the gel was nice and bright.
There were other varietys of the Boots natural collection shower gel on the shelf next to the Mango & Papaya one i chose. These variety's included Wild Strawberry, Vanilla, Ice Musk, Ginger & Lime, Passionfruit and Samphire & Sea.
The bottles are made from plastic and have a shiny squeezy cap on the bottom to make it very easy to use. The bottles looks really cool and they all have hooks on the top so you can hook it to your shower stand. The bottles hold 250ml of gel which is a real bargain as you only pay £1.99 for the shower gel!
The shower gel itself is fantastic! It is really refreshing and makes your skin feel clean and smooth. The smell of this gel is lovely and sweet-smelling and makes you smell gorgeous! Im sure all the other varietys of Boots natural collection shower gels are just as good!
It sometimes happen to me that I go to a shop, see a cosmetic and think that it smells really nice and then buy it. Once I get home, I realise that the scent isn't that nice at all and I actually shouldn't have bought the product. This was the case with Boots Natural Collection Mango & Papaya Shower Gel.
It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a black hook at the top. I must say it is very comfortable to just hang somewhere in the shower and I really like it. The design is quite similar to all Boots Natural Collection so you can definitely tell they come from the same line.
The shower gel itself has an orange colour and a fairly strong scent. It does smell of mango & papaya, however I find it too sweet and artificial. It may be because mango & papaya aren't really my things. I also found that the scent stays for a relatively long time in the bathroom (it disappears quite quickly from the skin).
This cosmetic does produce a lot of lather and cleanses well. It doesn't nourish or moisturise the skin but to be honest, I didn't expect it. The producer promises the leave the skin refreshed and this really is the case. I think it is a perfect shower gel for summer if you like mango & papaya scents as it is a decent cleanser but I personally don't think is my scent and I found it too sweet.
One bottle of this shower gel normally costs £1.99 and gives you 4 points for your Boots Advantage Card which I think is OK.
I never normally buy own brand shower gels, soaps etc as i tended to think of them as not being able to do as good a job as the bigger named brands. However, after trying this shower gel from Boots i am going to change my shopping habits.
This is from the Natural Collection that Boots have and its currently being sold for £1.33, but the normal price is £1.99. Its a 250ml bottle and has a handy hook shaped bottle for hanging in the shower. You also get 4 Advantage card points with it. The bottle i have differs slightly from the picture above in that it has the lid at the bottom of the bottle. I definately prefer this to most other shower gels as you can get every last bit without having to leave the bottle upside down for a few hours.
I love the smell of this, its very citrusy and has a great clean smell which i can smell faintly off my skin later in the day. You dont have to use too much of it to get a good lather from it and even though i got this about a week ago i still have about half a bottle left. And thats using it twice a day which i am pleased about. I do think its a bit pricey though, even with the discount, since you can get loads of bigger brands in Asda for about £1.
It does smell great though and it does its job well so i probably will buy it again. There is also a body cream, a body spray, an exfoiliator and a bath essence in the range, so i can only imagine how great i will smell after using all that!
