“ Brand: Boots / Type: Body Scrub / Suitable for: Body / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types / What it does: Exfoliates, „
I recently bought this from Boots after being severly disappointed with their Extracts range Cocoa Body Scrub. I am a fan of all the other Natural Collection vanilla stuff so I thought I would give it a go.
The scrub comes in a clear squeezy bottle with a brown Natural Collection logo on the front and a brown flip top cap which it stands on. The scrub inside is a rich dark creamy colour and you can see the little scrubbing particles inside.
Its easy to squeeze out and doesnt need much pressure, and the scrub isnt too thick either, its about the consistancy of a good body wash. A little really does go a long way with this scrub and you dont need a lot to do your whole body, which is good as it means it will last longer! The scrub is nice and silky and feels like its moisturising your skin whilst you can feel the little scrubbing particles light scrubbing away at that dry skin. The smell of it is delicious too, really rich and sweet vanilla smell just like the body wash.
My skin feels lovely and soft after using this, although my one critisism would be the lovely vanilla smell doesnt linger on my skin for long once im out the shower! Overall I would definitely recommend this, its a good scrub that you can really feel working, and it doesnt leave a greasy oily residue everywhere like the Boots Extracts body scrubs do. Im a fan of this one!
This product is apart of the natural collection made by Boots. It is a vanilla scented scrub that both cleanes and exfoliates the skin. The best thing about this product is that it actually works. I used it for a few weeks on a daily basis all over the body and after using it for a while I was pleased to notice that the rough skin that was once on my legs was now smooth. It was extremely satisfying to notice the difference in the quality of my skin. Exfoliating is an important part of skin care but it is also difficult to find the time to look after ourselves when we are so busy. Keeping this scrub in your bathroom makes it easy to keep exfoliating apart of our daily routine. There is many different scents available such as Vanilla, Strawberry or Sunflower. This particular one Vanilla is quite a strong scent and also stays on your skin throughout the day which is refreshing. The product itself has being around for some years now which is a tribute to the quality of it. The packagin has changed over the years but has always stayed quite simplistic which stays inline with the 'natural, organic' ideology behind the product. The price of the product is reasonable, at around £3.00 for a 150ml tube and depending on your skin type you may wish only to exfoliate your problems areas such as elbows/thighs in which case the product would last you some time. There are many benefits to exfoliating the skin, as well as getting rid of dead skin cells and keeping your skin smooth it also increases circulation, giving the skin a healthy glow and there is also evidence to suggest it reduces cellulite. I would reccomend this product to anyone because it would be both suitable and beneficial for people of all ages and skin types.
One thing I am very aware I don't do enough of is, is exfoliate my skin..... particularly in the winter months. At the moment my skin is really flaky and dry in places so when I spotted this product when recently buying a few other items from the range only costing £3.17 for a 150ml tube that seemed a good buy to me and when I sniffed it I was sold as I really do like the fragrance of a warm vanilla scent.
The tube is see through and on the front of it there is picture of a vanilla flower on there and we are told that it is Natural Collection Vanilla Body Scrub then on the back of the tube we are given other information such as ingredients, the size and contact details for Boots are given. It squeezes out to the bottom of it via a flip top lid concealing a small hole and all in all this is a very functional tube and informative enough whilst looking decent enough quality.
The Product Itself:
Well this squeezes out of the tube rather easily and the idea of this is to use after showering or bathing. Its a yellowy colour with little brown bits in it which are the exfoliating bit of the scrub and there are plenty of them within it. This is scented with a soft and sweet vanilla scent which is just lovely and warm and all you need is a small blob and to massage it into damp/wet skin.
The main of this scrub is actually a gel like product and is soft and smooth and a tiny bit greasy, you can feel the scrubby bits in it though they are not sharp or uncomfortable to use and when you feel that you have done it rinses off with reasonable ease leaving the skin feeling alot fresher, revived and subtly smoother and with no need to moisturise after using it thankfully.
This leaves my skin smooth, fragranced beautifully for a good couple of hours and although isn't a heavy scrubber it does gently exfoliate in a rather gentle way and I really do like this. Economical and a little goes a long way as well as being effective!

Natural collection is one of the cheaper Boots own brands. All the products are under £2. As they are all so cheap, they rarely have special offers, so they are not worth waiting for, but at that price you can treat yourself regularly. I thought Natural Collection just did make up, but at Christmas time when I was buying some gifts I realised they did toiletries too and purchased a vanilla bath and body set. I always buy a couple of cheap spare presents just incase emergencies arise, and then when I ran out of shower wash products a week or so before Christmas I decided to open this set, as it wasn't too expensive, I didn't feel like I was loosing much.
The Boots Natural Collection Vanilla Body Scrub comes in a soft plastic tube with a flip off lid which has a small hole which you can squeeze the product out of. You can stand it flat on it's end which makes it easier to squeeze the very last bit of product out. The product is yellow in appearance and quite thick and rough in texture. It is granulated just like and exfoliating product. The smell is sweet and subtle, not artificial and sickly like I expected (from a cheap product-I shouldn't have made assumptions!). The product was nice to rub into the skin. When I washed it off with a flannel, it felt soft and didn't rub off too much skin and leave me feeling raw. I felt very clean after, and didn't need to apply moisturiser to the scrubbed areas. It didn't irritate my eczema either which is good seeing as I have such sensitive skin.
I really like this product-it is cheap, does a fantastic job and smells lovely. It's just a shame I can't track it down all year round, but I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for it!
